Chapter Seventeen
Jealousy Is A Killer(Nobody's Pov!)
"So, May. I was wondering if you've been interested in anyone?" Dakota asked, following May through the Halls.
"Please, Dakota. Just leave me alone." May whispered, her heart racing. After what happened at the celebration May wasn't sure what Dakota would try to do to her. What did he even want?!
"Aww.. That's not very nice!" Dakota chuckled, leaning against the lockers as May put away some of her notebooks. He grabbed a lock of May's beautiful blonde hair and toyed with it between his fingers. Her eyes watered as she tried to ignore him. He bent down and sniffed the hair that he was holding between his fingers.
"Did you know that petite shy girls sell for a lot of money?" Dakota chuckled, causing May to look over at him with wide eyes.
"I-is.. is that what you wanted with me that night? You wanted to.. sell me?" May asked, stuttering. It was hard to speak, but she needed to know.
"Well, I do find you beautiful and yes. Selling you would be beneficial and it would help me get to meet my idol or at least help me get closer to his level." Dakota spoke, smiling.
"But.. w-why.. why me.. out of all the girls. Why would you want me?" May asked, closing her locker. Dakota smiled widely and leaned closer to her face.
"Well, You're weak. You wouldn't be able to put up a fight. You're also small! You check all the requirements that those old men normally want." Dakota said, causing May to step back.
"But that organization was shut down not long ago. You know that means I'll just need to offer up something even better to my idol." Dakota said.
"Even better?" May asked, taking a step away.
"Don't even worry about that yet. You'll realize soon enough, May." Dakota said, his eyes full of something strange. May stared in horror as he smiled at her. That's when he walked away, leaving May trembling alone at her locker.
Across the room someone hid behind the lockers, staring at the two people interacting. "May." Emily growled, clenching her fists. It was clear now.
May was trying to steal Dakota from Emily! Emily narrowed her eyes and walked forwards, her fists clenched tight. May turned around gasping as she spotted Emily.
"E-Emily?" May asked, her heart still racing due to Dakota's actions.
"Stay away from Dakota. If you try to ruin our relationship... I'll break you." Emily growled, surrounding her fist in shadow.
"You wanna know something? I've developed a way to strengthen my body using shadows. One punch from this would shatter your face." Emily said, smirking as she watched May tremble in fear.
"E-Emily.. please.. I promise I'm not trying to take him." May said, her eyes watering.
"Yeah. You don't stand a chance. He loves me." Emily growled, the shadows disappearing from her fist.
"Hey? Is there a problem here?" Alice asked, walking over. She stood tall next to May, glaring at Emily.
"A-Alice! Thank goodness." May said, her eyes sparkling as Alice stood between the two of them.
"Really? You're getting involved? I really hate you." Emily said, her body shaking with rage as Alice raised an eyebrow.
"You were picking on May. May doesn't bother anyone. You should just go back to whatever you normally do." Alice said, gently grabbing May's hand. Alice led May away from Emily, still unsure of why Emily was bullying May.
