Chapter Six
Burning Ember(Nobody's Pov!)
"Today you'll be meeting two of the Elite Heroes who often take in young heroes into their teams." The headmaster spoke, motioning to the door. A couple walked in and stood in front of the class with smiles on their faces.
"Hello, I'm Melody Gemstone. My hero name is the Golden Dragon, which is also the name of my power." Melody spoke, looking at the young heroes who were sitting at their desks. Melody had long beautiful peach colored hair with bright green eyes that shined like emeralds. She was a very beautiful woman who radiated love and kindness.
'She looks like Lacey. Gemstone? That must be Lacey's mom.' Maddie thought, watching the lady as she spoke.
"My powers are very simple. I transform into a giant golden dragon with large wings! I can breath a blinding light beam that destroys anything it comes into contact with. My wings are also strong enough to launch things very far." Melody explained.
"That's right. My lovely wife here is a big powerful dragon. She may look fragile, but I assure you! She's a powerful beast!" The man next to her said, placing a loving hand on her shoulder. Melody looked over and smiled as a blush appeared on her face.
"Thank you, Andrew." She spoke, waiting for her husband to introduce himself.
"I'm Andrew Gemstone. My hero name is The Guardian." Andrew spoke, looking at the students as he introduced himself.
"My power is called Protective Wings. I grow large blue wings on my back and they allow me to fly at intense speeds, leaving a blue mist behind me. They're extremely strong and I'm able to use them as shields. They are almost indestructible and can block almost any attack." Andrew explained, staring at the students who were very intrigued.
"I'm a support hero and I take in heroes who qualify for The Rescue Team. If you're interested in rescuing people or you're capable of doing so, please remember to reach out to our team when you're graduating or if you're lucky you'll be recruited early!" Andrew said, smiling as he held his wife's hand.
"I'm part of an offensive group who directly attacks villains. If you're interested please contact our team! I can't wait to see what you become!" Melody said, scanning over the faces of each young hero.
"I wish the best of luck to all of you." Melody said, tilting her head as she smiled. Maddie stared down at her desk for a moment as the elite heroes carried on talking.
'I'm going to be stuck being a support hero. I'll be stuck on the rescue team for the rest of my days. How will I ever prove to my family that I'm strong?" Maddie thought to herself. She clenched her fists and tightened her jaw as she remembered the awful words that her parents shouted when she told them about wanting to become a hero.
'You'll never last a day in the academy!'
'You know damn well our family doesn't fall into that hero bullshit.'
'You'll find yourself dead in a ditch before you ever become a hero.'
Maddie stared down at her desk for the rest of the class, ignoring the words of the elite heroes. Perhaps Liliana was right about Maddie. Maybe Maddie wasn't meant to be a hero or even become an elite hero at all.

After classes ended for the day the gang decided to hangout in MacKenzie's dorm all together. Even though everyone had spent a lot of time together in class, they didn't really know much about each other.
