The Snare

(Nobody's Pov!)

      

        Today was a quiet day at Chrysanthemum Academy. The sky was bright and the birds were singing. Everything was perfect besides the fact that a traitor sat within their walls.

       Today was the day that the headmaster revealed who the traitor was. She didn't necessarily feel surprised by this, but she was taken aback slightly. It seemed as though they were in the background enough to not even really be noticed.

     "I'm glad you could all make it. I'd like to reveal the identity of the traitor. Last night the documents I assigned to a particular student went missing. I believe this has been going on for a few months now, but this is the first time I've caught it for sure." The headmaster spoke, her eyes glossing over with rage and hate for villains.

"The identity of the traitor is none other than Dakota Neverly." The headmaster spoke, causing everyone to gasp. "That little.." Mackenzie growled, clenching her fists.

"He's been against us this entire time." Maddie said, her eyes widening. This is why he was trying to steal Emily!

"I suspect he's apart of the sex trafficking in our area. I also believe that's how they got their hands on those power numbing drugs." The headmaster said.

"Miss Lin, Please.. I beg you to allow Emily to take part on this mission!" Maddie said, her eyes wide and full of sadness.

"I don't have a problem with that, but why?" Masuyo Lin asked.

"Emily has been infatuated with Dakota for a long time and she's been ignoring his red flags."
Mackenzie began, already knowing what Maddie was thinking.

"Yes, I hope if she sees who he really is she'll come to her senses. I know it'll break her heart, but it's for the best." Maddie said, rubbing her arm nervously.

"Alright, I'll allow it. Take good care of her. She'll be in a delicate state for awhile, but I trust you guys to take care of this." The headmaster spoke.

"I'm placing you on a mission with Dakota. Corner him in the designated building and confront him. You may apprehend him during this time or.. you can kill
Him. He may put up a fight so be ready for him to do something suspicious." The headmaster spoke.

"Understood." Alcameano said, thinking about Emily. 'Cuttlefish fell for an idiot. Typical of her to do something like that.' Alcameano thought.

"We won't let him get away." Maddie said.

"Hey you guys are going on a mission?" May asked, running over to the group as they left the headmasters office.

"May?" Maddie asked, raising an eyebrow. May was standing in front of the group with her hands clasped together. Her heart was racing as she tried to find the right words.

"I-..I wanted to confess something... you guys are friends with Emily.. and .. and I wanted to tell you that Dakota drugged me and he's been harassing me for about a year." May spoke, closing her eyes. She was afraid that they would be angry with her, but she was suddenly hugged by Maddie.

"Don't worry! We won't let him get away with it!" Maddie said, anger coursing through her.

"Yeah, We've got your back, May." Mackenzie said, smiling at May. May stared in surprise as everyone comforted her. Nobody was against her. Everyone believed her. She was so happy that she was actually heard. Her voice was heard!
