Chapter Seven
Girl Afraid Of Fire

(Nobody's Pov!)

Chrysanthemum Academy stayed on a constant lockdown for about a week after the villains attacked the city. A funeral was held for Henry Olivers and almost every student and hero alike attended. His wife was very tender and quiet the entire time. She was questioned for more information, but she was a sobbing mess the entire time. The headmaster eventually had to give up due to being unable to get the woman to speak clearly.

"What will we do?" Sei asked, leaning against the wall. The entire group of teachers stood in Headmaster Masuyo's office.

"We leave the woman alone. Shes no good like this and we certainly can't keep pestering her." Masuyo spoke, rubbing her temples.

"I feel so terrible for Amber. I've heard rumors that she's pregnant, but I'm not entirely sure." Lucinda said, rubbing her arm. She frowned as she thought of poor Amber.

"Shes tough. I'm sure she'll recover." Duke spoke, staring out the window. His eyes narrowed as he gripped his arms tightly, wrinkling his leather cloak. How could those damned villains ruin a happy family?

"I wish I was able to rescue them in time." Gabriel muttered, staring at the ground. He felt so guilty for not being there to save them. If he had only received Henry's message sooner, maybe there would have been a chance to save him.

"Don't blame yourself. These villains have gotten more intense as time has passed." Sei spoke, looking over at Gabriel.

"Sei is right. Don't blame yourselves. That battle was not yours. You were stationed here. If anything blame me. I will take that burden as the leader of the hero organization." Masuyo spoke, standing up from her chair.

"I will personally take responsibility for every hero or civilian that is killed by villains." Masuyo said, standing tall and proud. The teachers stared at her with surprise on each other their faces. Masuyo was a terrifying lady, but she was truly honorable.

"You four are the top of the Elite heroes. You all made a good choice helping train the future of us heroes. Please do not regret or ponder your decision. I believe full heartedly that you all belong here." Masuyo said, causing them to all nod.

"I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." Lucinda said, with a smile.

"Someone needs to teach this kids something useful." Duke said, his arms stilled crossed.

"I'd do anything to help save more lives and this is where I can make the most difference." Gabriel spoke, honored that Masuyo picked him for the job.

"Yeah, someone needs to discipline these brats." Sei said, with a chuckle causing Duke to roll his eyes. Sei glared at him for a moment before looking back at Masuyo.

"That's all for now. You're dismissed, but be sure to keep a lookout around the School. Villains still lurk upon us." Masuyo said.

"It's quite a shame." Lacey spoke, as she walked through the common room of the dormitory. "I know. I can't believe so many heroes were killed." Harper said, with a frown on her face.

"That's why I don't want you to go through with becoming a hero." Harlow said, holding her sisters hand.

"This is exactly why I want to become a hero. I want to save people. I can't wait until you become an elite hero, Lacey. I know you can truly make a difference." Harper said, smiling as she walked alongside Lacey.
