Chapter Ten
Not A Villain?

(Nobody's Pov!)

Caleb walked through the trees of the arena looking around for the last couple of people. He was going to win this for sure! He gasped quietly noticing Philip walking around.

"Hey, Bro! You wanna go all out and fight?" Caleb asked, extending his hand for a fist bump. Caleb raised an eyebrow curiously as Philip turned around slowly. Caleb lowered his hand when he saw how bloody Philip's face was.

"Oh shit, bro. You look fucked." Caleb said, taking a couple steps towards Philip. That's when Philip suddenly leaped forwards, punching Caleb in the face. Caleb growled and went to attack back, but he was suddenly pinned to the ground, one of Philip's large hands tightening over Caleb's face.

Caleb tried to shoot out some lightning, but he couldn't lift his arms. That's when the first couple punches landed. Caleb yelled out, struggling against Philip's grip.

That's when the flames began, burning slightly at Caleb's skin. Caleb screamed loudly and struggled beneath his best friend. "Philip! Dude stop!" Caleb screamed, his skin beginning to burn and melt off.

"Philip stop! Please!" Caleb screamed out in desperation as Philip slammed his fist violently into Caleb's face.

"Get off of me!" Caleb cried out at as a last desperate attempt.

"Suffer!" Philip growled out.

"Burn." Philip growled in a voice that was not his own. He sounded like a demon that enjoyed the suffering of others. Caleb couldn't move or speak anymore. The suffering was unbearable and the smell of his own flesh burning was all that was in the air.

"You can't be serious!" Lucinda said, standing alongside her fellow teachers.

"I don't know what we should do with him." The headmaster spoke, sitting at her desk. "He's dangerous for sure and we don't know what his mental state is like. He seemed to enjoy beating his classmate to death." The headmaster added.

"Should we.. should we kick him out of the academy?" Lucinda asked, her heart racing. This reminded her of her other past students. So many of those students had been evil on the inside. Was Philip like this too?

"I don't know. He could be a valuable hero to us if we can help him with whatever he's struggling with." Duke spoke, thinking about he used to be.

"I think he can be a hero, but I don't know if we can trust him fully." Sei spoke, glancing over at Duke.

"Im glad you agree with me." Duke said, looking down at Sei. Sei rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "It's my opinion." Sei muttered, a light blush dusting her cheeks.

"I think he needs to be suspended for awhile. I just don't know if I feel comfortable with him around the other students." Gabriel spoke, his heart conflicted. He cared for all of the students, but he didn't want any of them getting hurt. He had to make a decision and stick with it. Philip was a promising student, but a dangerous one at that.

"I agree with that." Lucinda said, smiling at Gabriel. The headmaster sighed and brushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I know you all may feel a certain way about him, but I think it would be good for all of us to give him some extra attention. Perhaps he needs to be shown how to be a hero. Don't forget a lot of heroes come from bad homes, bad neighborhoods, they come to us not knowing how to be heroes. That's what we're here for." Headmaster Masuyo spoke, standing from her chair.
