Chapter Twenty
Growth As Heroes

(Nobody's Pov!)

Raven grunts as she extends her shields range for the tenth time. She needed to practice extending her shield and strengthening it. She needed to be stronger! This would also help with her endurance and stamina. She realized how much stronger she has become. After everything she was finally able to change the size of her shield any time.

"Hey, Raven! You ready to go?" May asked, recently coming out of the nearby gym showers. May felt way better! Ever since Dakota was killed she finally felt safe again!

"Of course! Let's go!" Raven said, walking beside her good friend May. The two had become quite closer over time and they've been working on their confidence together.

"I'm so proud of you for using your Tiger form more aggressively." Raven said, thinking about their training together.

"I'm proud of you for pushing me so far with your shield! You're extending its range so much farther than before!" May said, smiling happily.

"You wanna go get some dinner?" Raven asked, as the two walked through the halls. "Yes! I'm starving!" May said, giggling as they started running to the cafeteria together.

Maddie flopped backwards, landing in the fluffy towel. Marcus chuckled and sat down next to her. They had a picnic every week together so they could get to know each other better. Marcus smiled and looked over at Maddie as a butterfly landed directly on Maddie's nose. Maddie  gasped softly as she crossed her eyes so she could see the butterfly. Marcus laughed causing Maddie to blush. The butterfly flew away to a nearby flower as Maddie sat up.

"What?" She asked, embarrassed.

"You looked so cute crossing your eyes. The butterfly added to that cuteness." Marcus said, tapping Maddie's nose. Maddie giggled and looked away, her cheeks bright red.

"So I was wondering.. You told me your powers can heal too, but you're unhappy as a healer." Marcus said. Maddie nodded and waited for him to speak.

"I was thinking that you should figure out how to get a bigger sword and shield maybe even different types of weapons. You could totally make a spiked shield!" Marcus said, giving Maddie ideas. Maddie smiled and nodded.

"That's something I should try!" Maddie said, smiling at Marcus. That's when he slowly slid his hand on top of hers. Maddie blushed and tried to play it off.

"I really like spending time with you." Marcus said, staring into Maddie's blue eyes. Maddie giggled as she stared into his beautiful eyes.

"I love spending time with you! You're so much fun to be with." Maddie said, tilting her head as she smiled sweetly at Marcus. The two stared lovingly at each other for a while before finally deciding to dig into their snacks they brought for the picnic.

The headmaster sat at her desk with her hand in her head. The clock ticking in the corner of the room. She sighed audibly and looked up from her paperwork. She gasped as she looked up, spotting the six cloaked figures standing before her.
