Chapter Nineteen
A Woman's Fate

(Nobody's Pov!)

Emily stared at herself in the mirror, her eyes red and puffy. Her hair was chopped up and messy. She looked terrible and she felt even worse. That's when her bedroom door opened, revealing Maddie and Mackenzie. Emily turned away in shame. How could she even look at them after what she had done?

"Hey, Em." Mackenzie said, walking in with a bag. Emily turned to look at them with all confused expression.

"We're here to help!" Maddie said, clapping her hands. Mackenzie pulled out some scissors and walked over to Emily. Emily was sitting at her desk, staring into the mirror.

"I'll help fix your hair. I'm sorry for cutting your hair." Mackenzie said, frowning as she ran her fingers through Emily's hair.

"No.. I'm sorry. I'm grateful that you only cut my hair." Emily said, as Mackenzie got to work on Emily's hair.

"And we brought you some tissues, some snacks and drinks! Oh and here's some lunch." Maddie said, pulling things out of the bag Mackenzie brought. Emily stared in shock at all the wonderful things the ladies brought her.

"You guys.. really did this for me?" Emily asked, staring at the mountains of snacks and the delicious looking lunch in the plastic container.

"Of course." Mackenzie said, finishing up Emily's haircut. Emily's hair was cut above her shoulders, but at least it was as choppy and mess as before. Emily looked at herself in the mirror, admiring her haircut.

"I actually like it short. This could be a new me." Emily said, touching the ends of her hair. "You still have a chance to make up for everything." Mackenzie said, putting a hand on Emily's shoulder. Emily stood up and turned around, her eyes watering. That's when she suddenly leaped forwards, hugging Mackenzie.

"I'm so sorry!" Emily said, hugging her cousin tightly. Emily was so ashamed of herself. She let a boy play with her feelings. She fell right for him! She hated to say it, but she missed him already. She missed his company, his warmth, the touch of his hand. She hated that. Of course she fell for a toxic guy.

"It's okay. I'm not angry with you." Mackenzie said, hugging Emily back. Maddie smiled and launched herself towards the two. "Group hug!" Maddie shouted.

"So is everything okay between the three of us?" Emily asked, escaping the hug.

"..yes, of course." Mackenzie said, she questioned her own words, but she wanted things to be okay. Mackenzie was a person to hold a grudge and remember. She normally never forgives anyone. She had to forgive Emily. Emily was the last family member she had left.

"Yeah, I forgive you for it all!" Maddie said, smiling happily at Emily. "Thank you guys." Emily said, her eyes full of tears. "Thank you so much..." she muttered.

The headmaster sat at her desk, tapping he fingers. The moon shining bright in the window behind her. The other teachers stood there considering what they should do.

"I say we kick her out of school." Lucinda spoke, crossing her arms. She didn't want that, but it was needed.

"I don't think we should do that. I say we use the power numbing medicine on her constantly. She needs a punishment." Gabriel spoke, remembering what happened before.
