Chapter Thirty Five
Sister Sister

(Nobody's POV!)

Crystal lowered her head as she snuck around the corner. The sound of footsteps following her echoed down the hall, getting closer and closer with each step. Crystal looked over her shoulder for a moment before running forwards towards the exit.

She burst through the doors and left the lair. She knew Ruby was going to tell the master about what she had done. If the master would get ahold of her... she would be dead. Crystal narrowed her eyes as she thought of Ruby. Ruby was a suck up. Ruby's loyalty to the master wasn't rivaled by anything. Ruby would never betray him or keep a secret for Crystal.

'I'll make you regret this, Ruby.' Crystal thought, as she walked calmly down the sidewalk. There were a lot of people today and Crystal was having a hard time making it through the crowd. That's when a slight gust of wind caused chills to go up her spine. She glanced over her shoulder, unsure of where it came from. It couldn't be Lucas. How would he have caught up to her? Did Ruby already tell the master? Did the master send the group after her?

Crystal's heart began racing as she pushed through the crowd, now running. People yelled and complained as Crystal pushed through. She needed to get away fast or else she would be caught. She was confident that she could defeat each member of the group in a fight, but she could never defeat them all at once.

Crystal's eyes scanned the sidewalk and the buildings on the side of her. She needed an escape and she needed it fast. That's when her eyes landed on an alleyway up the street a little ways. If she could run in there and hide, hopefully Lucas and the group couldn't find her.

She quickly turned the corner and dived into the alleyway, her heart racing as she breathed heavily. She leaned against the brick wall and wiped the sweat from her forehead. All of a sudden someone cleared their throat beside her. Crystal jumped and snapped her head in their direction, coming face to face with The Phoenix's group of villains.

"Frostine?" Crystal muttered, as she stared at her sister who was standing in the ground. Frostine's eyes widened as she took a few small steps forwards.

"Crystal?" Frostine asked, extending her arm out towards her sister. Crystal's eyes widened as she watched her sister reach out towards her. Frostine pressed her cold hand against Crystal's sweaty face. Frostine couldn't believe that Crystal was really standing in front of her. She hasn't seen her little sister since that day at the Asylum.

"I can't believe you're really here? Did they let you out?" Frostine asked, lowering her arm to her side. The rest of the villains stayed back and watched in shock. How could Frostine's sister be the same girl who was apart of The Masked Destroyer's group?

"I broke out of the asylum and then I joined The Masked Destroyer. He helped me for a long time and I looked up to him, but he picked his daughter over me. I can't go back there ever again after what I did." Crystal spoke, her angering showing in her voice. She hated Mackenzie and she hated Ruby. They ruined everything that she had. They took it all away!

"What happened? Did her hurt you? Are you okay?" Frostine asked, grabbing her sisters hands in worry. Crystal lowered her head and glanced down at her and her sisters hands.

"I cursed his daughter. Any time she uses her powers ice will spread along her body. Soon that annoying bitch will be nothing but a big block of ice." Crystal said, gritting her teeth at the end. Frostine took a step back and chuckled.

"Don't worry, sis. I'm sure our master will take you in. After all you have more information about  The Masked Destroyer and his group." Frostine said, smiling for the first time in years.
