Chapter Thirty
The Better Villain

(Nobody's POV!)

"You're all fools." Ayaka spoke, causing Calida to growl.

"What did you say to me?" Calida growled, clenching her jaw.

"You heard me. Stop trying to impress my father. You're just making fools out of yourselves." Ayaka spoke.

"I've got no reason to impress him. You have no need to be so angry, Ayaka." Frostine spoke, walking forwards. Calida growled and looked over at Frostine.

"Really? You're not going to defend yourself? This bitch is running her mouth again." Calida growled, clenching her fists.

"You're lucky my father wants a group of villains or else I'd have killed you already." Ayaka spoke, her hand resting on the handle of her katana.

"I'm not afraid of you." Calida growled, eyeing Ayana's katana.

"You should be." Ayaka spoke, a sudden surge of electricity in the air. Calida's eyes widened as she felt the electricity in the air. She took a step back and rolled her eyes.

"Whatever." Calida growled, her brother walking over to put his arm around her.

"Calm down, sis." Bruno laughed, looking over at Ayaka causally.

"Sorry about that, Ayaka." Bruno said, causing Ayaka to shrug and walk off. She couldn't stand working alongside these idiots.

"Laura? Are you doing alright?" Frostine asked, looking over at the woman with light brown hair and green eyes. Laura sighed and nodded, she was sitting down quietly on the fancy couch.

"I'll be alright." Laura muttered, thinking of her husband. Now she would have to face him again if her master was serious about attacking the school.

"I know this will be difficult for you. If it comes down to it I'll make sure you don't have to kill him." Frostine spoke, causing Laura to smile.

"Thank you, Frostine." Laura said, a sad smile on her face. She was trying to stay positive, but it was hard to keep up a happy front. She knew if her master sensed weakness he would get rid of her.

"Father, you called for me?" Ayaka asked, bowing down her eyes fixated on the ground below her, in front of her father's iron throne. He tapped his fingers for a moment before finally speaking. He enjoyed making his soldiers wait. It showed their loyalty, their obedience, and their respect. A true solider waits before looking up at their master.

"You may look up, daughter." He spoke, smiling as his body flames up. Ayaka looked up slowly, staring into his flaming face.

"I want you to go to the school and get the answer from my son and his little lover. He's had enough time to decide." The Phoenix spoke, staring at his daughter.

"Of course, father." Ayaka spoke, staring up at her father with determination in her eyes.

The sky was bright and the sun was shining over the academy. Everyone was busy in class or eating in the cafeteria. This gave Mackenzie and Philip time to sneak away and talk about things. There was a gentle breeze blowing as they walked down the stone pathway. Mackenzie inhaled deeply, getting a whiff of the beautiful flowers lining the stone paths.
