Two days after the raven and artist's fight, Wednesday went into town to visit Mila. They planned on spending all Saturday long together. Wednesday was not excited. She knew there were better things to do, and Enid had been bothered when Wednesday had told her where she was going too.

"Wednesday!" Mila exclaimed with a cheerful smile when she spotted the girl standing outside of the Weathervane.

Wednesday did not return a smile but just stared at the girl. "Mila, it is nice to see you again."

The blonde ran up to her with wide eyes and a heap of energy. "I heard you're going out with James! I thought you hated him after lying about dating Xavier," she said, the last part in a whisper.

The noirette stared back. "I intend on keeping my story straight: I dated Xavier and we broke up, now he is dating you and I am dating James."

Mila frowned. "But that's a lie."

"I see you state the obvious," Wednesday retorted back.

The normie shrugged and pulled the outcast down the street. They turned on the corner where Wednesday's old therapy office still stood. "Where are we going?" She asked.

Mila smiled back. "My house. I'm sure my family will love you! Maybe you can go out with my brother instead of that ugly James!"

Wednesday pondered the idea. It would be less torturous, but I suppose I will have to deal with James in the near future anyways. Perhaps I can use our "friendship" to get closer to the normie side of Jericho, just as I am with Mila. I will take advantage of the situation.

The two girls barged into the large red-brick house where Wednesday quickly observed her surroundings.

The walls were basic: white and pastel colors with the occasional photo of the family of six.

Mila had an older brother- only by a year, two young sisters- twins, and both parents still in the picture. They looked happy on the outside, but Wednesday assumed their insides were all rotting away day by day.

"Mila, I see you're home already! Who may this... young lady be?" Mr. Chapman asked his oldest daughter.

The blonde girl smiled back. "Dad, this is my friend, Wednesday Addams."

Mr. Chapman nodded with a fake smile, turning to the outcast. "Wednesday, welcome. I'm glad Mila is making more friends. I am sure there is much you can learn from her."

Wednesday stared back intensely at the man. "I agree. There is much to learn from her." She then turned to Mila. "I see where you get the stating the obvious from. Is your mother just as hostile?"

Mila was obviously uncomfortable. "Sorry. I guess he's just not used to outcasts. My mom is more welcoming, I promise. She's not home right now, though. Do you wanna go upstairs to my room?"

Wednesday simply nodded in response.

Mila's room greatly reflected her personality. Wednesday was disgusted by the number of pop artist posters and photos on her walls. There were countless names, all extremely unknown by the noirette.

Taylor Swift, Conan Gray, Olivia Rodrigo, Lana Del Ray, Claire Rosinkranz, Joshua Bassett, Gracie Abrams, Lizzy Mcalpine, Nessa Barrett, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, SZA, Madison Beer, Charlie Puth... It was never-ending.

There were so many colors. It made Wednesday feel almost physically ill.

"I see you are... a lover of the arts. I suppose I now understand why Xavier finds interest in you," she commented.

Mila smiled. "Yeah. I love listening to music. Pop and Pop-Indie are the best. What kinda music do you listen to?"

"I do not listen to much music. I play the cello, and that is it," The noirette answered.

The blonde. "Oh, that's a shame. I'm sure you'd love Nessa Barrett or Billie Eilish. You seem kinda indie-kiddish. Do you wanna listen to them now?!"

"Perhaps another time," Wednesday snapped back.

Mila shrugged. "Okay, that's cool. Can I paint your nails? They look so bare!"

"Only if it is black," The outcast answered, now glaring at the girl.

The normie giggled. "Of course, Wednesday! I rarely paint my nails any other colors!"

...

Around 4:30, the girls headed back towards the Weathervane to wait on Wednesday's bus to arrive to take her back to Nevermore.

Mila hadn't told Wednesday, but she and Xavier were planning on going on their date that night.

Just when the bus arrived, Xavier hopped off, and ran into both of the girls at the same time. "Oh, shit, my bad. W-Wednesday-- W-what are you doing here?"

"I am here because Mila and I spent the day together. Why are you here, elitist snob? Have you come to terrorize the town with your witless sense of humor at a stand-up comedy night?" She snapped back.

Mila set her arm on Wednesday's shoulder. "Easy, Wednesday. He's here because we have our first date tonight!"

The raven glared daggers at the artist before turning back to the normie. "How delightful, I wasn't informed. Goodbye, Mila. I will see you next Saturday. Xavier, I will see you in class on Monday. I wish you both an ugly and gruesome deathly first date."

Xavier frowned. Am I just supposed to let her leave? Shit, I dunno what to do. I want to stop her! But what will Mila say if I do?

"Wait, Wednesday! Do you wanna stay with us? We can all hang out together, right?! You know, like a trio!" The boy exclaimed nervously.

"Xavier! But what about our date?!" Mila pouted.

He smiled at the normie. "I know, Mila. I just don't wanna move forward too quickly. I wanna do this right with you," he lied.

Wednesday stared at Xavier with confusion and disappointment. "I have been with Mila all day, and I have no sudden urge to spend the night with you two together and third-wheel. Go on your date, Xavier. I am going back to Nevermore."

Another frown from Xavier. Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck. I can't just leave Wednesday upset with me. It can't end and begin like this.

"I just don't want you to be angry with me, Wednesday. I can't have one of my girlfriend's really good friends mad at me, okay? You're like... a sister to me," He lied.

Xavier knew he would be kicking himself for the rest of his life for calling Wednesday his sister.

Wednesday's face twisted into a reaction that displayed one emotion: disgust.

Xavier had been flirting with her when he viewed her as a sister?!

Mila gave a small smile. "He's right about that, Wednesday. You're not mad at him, right?"

"No. I am simply annoyed and enraged by his existence. He can and will have to live with that. Goodbye, you two. Deathly luck on your first date," She commented before stepping onto the bus.

Xavier is an annoying human being. I can not believe he called me his sister. He is going to pay for that one Wednesday thought to herself.

I am sure he will most certainly want to murder me when he sees me on my date with James McCellan next weekend.
