I scroll through Instagram as I wait for food to put on my plate. I tried to get my own food but I was scolded and told to sit down and wait so I'm just patiently hanging around.

Summer returned home last week, and I've missed her ever since. It was fun having her by my side but I still have Skylar so everything is fine.

Skylar and Summer became close over the few days she was here. Everyday after school we would go to a different restaurant to try new foods and it was delicious.

I definitely have to return to Austin during Christmas break.

"Here's your food Ms. Monet" Carmen puts some food on my plate I smile at her "thank you" she smiles back at me "next time you wait child." she demands.

"I understand ma'am" she laughs as she leaves the dining room after serving us all the food.

Harper comes downstairs "morning" she says taking a seat next to me "good morning" I put my phone down. The only con of living with a rich family is waiting to eat.

Robert decided we should start praying over our food or any other situation but still we had to wait.

Everybody has to be at the table to eat so we can say grace. I mean I like it. It's a pleasure to have a family to enjoy food with at home. I had dinner by myself most nights.

Robert and Mary arrive at the table. "glad to see you waited" Mary says taking a seat. "I always wait" Harper lies. She shoved a pancake into her mouth on her own yesterday.

I glared at her "ok everybody touch hands and bow your heads" Robert says. We all grab each other. We put our hands together and our heads down. Robert begins to speak, "Let us take a moment to give thanks for this gathering of family. Let us remember the moments we have shared together and the many more to come. May we always be thankful for the life we have been blessed with."

We all say Amen before diving into the food. "Ari don't you have work today?" Mary asks and I nod "yea but I don't need a ride. How beautiful it is I need to walk." They laugh "Can I come with?" Harper ask.

I look at Mary "it's really up to your mother Harper" Mary looks at Harper smiling "if only your sister wants you to" Harper then looks at me. "Please Ari can I come?" I nod "yes you can come" she does a small dance.

"Thank you."  she eats some more of her food "I'll suggest you hurry up and eat so we can leave " I say as sheshoves her food in her mouth which makes me laugh.

Robert looks at me "how has the world treated you lately?" I smile "it's been pleasant to be honest. This job pays well too so if I have enough I might buy a car for my birthday."

Robert nodded in agreement. "That sounds like an excellent idea. Let me know if you need any help with it." I thank him and we will continue eating our food.

He offers his help with getting a car so he is trying to pay to get me a car. If I'm not lucky, what am I?

"I'm done! I'm going to get dressed right now" Harper jumps out of her seat and goes upstairs. "That's my cue to also getready" I get up and follow her upstairs. We both getdressed quickly and return downstairs to get ready to leave out. We grab our shoes and head outside, excited about the day ahead.

We both said our goodbyes before leaving the house. "Can I get a free brownie from the cafe?" Harper asks and I laugh. "I'll think about it" she pouts "that means no" I shake my head "no it doesn't it means I'll think about it."

She claps her hand, "OK!"We walk to the cafe, Harper looking hopeful. When we arrive, I tell her I can't get her a free brownie, but I'll buy her one. She grins and orders her favorite with extra sprinkles on top.
