As I cleaned my room, I danced along to the music. There is nothing better than a relaxing Sunday after a big party to regain your energy for the week ahead.

And if I'm being honest life for me lately has been pretty fucking okay. I haven't been stressed by boys, am getting good grades, and am on top of my game. I just wish life was like this all the time you know.

But I know that life is a roller coaster and there will be highs and lows. I'm happy to be in a good place right now and I'm grateful for the experiences I'm having. I'm trying to enjoy the good times while they last.

I have work later on and do have a date with Marian. Since yesterday, Polo and I have been texting each other. We don't talk about much other than jokes and today's schedule for work.

"Ari!" Mary burst into my room. I quickly glanced at her and noticed the serious look on her face. "What is it?" I asked. "We need to talk," she said.

My brows furrowed. As she sits on my bed and I take off my headphones, she laughs and I roll my eyes as she says "Oh nothing just wanted to bother you". "Funny." I sit down beside her.

She laughed again, her eyes twinkling. I sighed, a small smile on my face. We stayed there, in companionable silence. I waited till she stops laughing to finally ask "So why are you here?"

She looked at me, her eyes still twinkling with mirth. "Oh, I'm here to see you, of course," she said, her voice still laced with laughter. "But I'm also here to share a secret with you."She winks at me.

She stares at me "Are you intending to say it?" she laughs "All I wanted to tell you about is some information I learned about your father's case" she says. I get up and shake my head "I'm okay" she tilts her head.

"What do you mean you're okay?" I shrug my shoulders step over to my closet and begin separating my clothes. "I mean it's unhealthy to stick to one topic for the rest of your life." I turn to face her. "It's like I don't want to move on from this one thing, and it's not healthy." I pause, letting the heavy silence settle between us. "I need to take a step back and branch out."

Mary gets up "This is your father we are talking about Ari" I nod, understanding her point. "I know, but I need to be able to take care of myself too." I take a deep breath, letting it out slowly. "I need to try to find a way to move on."

As I paused, I said, "Just thinking about the topic makes me want to cry knowing that I might never see my father again is very emotional. Speaking about this makes me believe my father has passed on."

"Oh come here" She grabs me and pulls me into a hug "You're growing!" she says. I giggle and hug her back tightly. She's always been so warm and loving. I feel so loved and appreciated.

She pulls away "Well the information wasn't relevant anyways" she smiles leaving the room. I smile, knowing how much she cares for me. I recall the information that she was talking about but push it aside. I follow her out of the room, knowing that I can come back to it later.

I go downstairs and see everyone at the table. "Good morning," I say taking a seat next to Harper. Harper shuffles some papers "Ouu what's this?" I ask pointing at the paper "Plans for my birthday" she says smiling.

I laughed and gave her a side hug. "That's so sweet of you, planning already," I say. "My birthday isn't far away, you know?" I nodded in agreement, "yea I get it."She smiled. "Yes, I know. I just wanted to make sure it's perfect!" I smiled back. "It's going to be great," I said.

I stack some food on my plate "I don't start work til 11 so I have a lot of time to catch up on my project" Both Mary and Robert nod. "And also can I attend?" this event after work?" I ask referring to me and Marian's date after work.
