Crystal wakes up naked in Devale's arms. She immediately gets filled with guilt as she recalls last night's events.
Devale: [kisses her forehead] hey gorgeous, how'd you sleep
Crystal: good and you
Devale: great!! I missed you
Crystal: [awkward smile]
Devale: you okay? You seem a little off [rubbing on her back]
Crystal: yeah I'm good
Devale: no you're not. You're regretting it aren't you?
Crystal: [sighs]
Devale: you can tell me, I won't get mad
Crystal: I don't regret us having sex because that was what I needed in that moment. However, I do regret doing it with you
Devale: [sad] wow, okay well lemme go ahead and get outta here [getting out the bed]
Crystal: [sighs] Devale stop! That's not how I meant it and you know it
Devale: then what did you mean Crystal?
Crystal: [exhales] I regret it because last night undid all the work we did to get back cool again as friends! Before last night I finally had my best friend back and I just feel like I ruined it again [starts crying]
Devale: [comforts her] don't cry Crys, I totally get it- even though your delivery was a lil off. But baby trust me, you didn't ruin anything! I wanted it to happen just as much as you did!
Crystal: are you just saying that to make me feel better?
Devale: no! I'm saying that because I mean it. Look, idc what happens between us I never wanna stop being your friend Crystal, your friendship is something I truly cherish
Crystal: [smiles] I cherish yours too! You really are my best friend Devale
Devale: [kisses her forehead]
Crystal: thanks for understanding D, lol idk why my emotions made such a big deal outta this
Devale: [eyes wide] shiiit!! Speaking of emotions you think mayb-
Crystal: [laughs] woah woah, slow your role homie. Ain't nobody pregnant!! Besides didn't you pull out?
Devale: [scratches his head] I tried but I couldn't. Shiit what time is it? I think we still got time to get you a plan B
Crystal: [chuckles] will you relax! I'm telling you I'm not pregnant, there's just no way okay!
Devale: how can you be so sure?
Crystal: because I got a NuvaRing inserted
Devale: [confused] huh?
Crystal: [laughs] it's birth control. Don't worry we're good! But if it'll make you feel better I'll stop by the pharmacy on my way home
Devale: [sighs] yes please! Don't get me wrong I do love you Crys but whew having a 6th child and a 3rd babymama was gonna send me to an early grave [chuckles]
Crystal: [laughs] you and me both nigga! Lord knows we DO NOT need those kind of problems
Devale: [fully dressed] okay well imma leave now. You gon be okay?
Crystal grabs her satin robe from the nightstand and walks over to hug him
Crystal: yes and thanks again for last night! It was exactly what I needed
