Moving as quickly down the hall as he can without actually running, Dean stops when he reaches the bathroom door, to see it standing wide open but Mae is nowhere in sight. He pokes his head through the doorway and scans the room, just to verify that she isn't there, when a pleasant aroma wafts over to him. Unaware of his own actions, he walks over closer to the shower that she used and inhales deeply. Damn, she makes this bathroom smell nice.

Remembering his want to catch a glimpse of her in a towel, he hightails it out of the bathroom and off towards her bedroom. Unfortunately by the time he arrives in the hallway, the only sight he sees is her door closing. Dismayed but not deterred, he swiftly closes the distance between himself and the door.

Knocking softly on her door, he calls out. "How'd everything go? No trouble with turning off the shower?"

"No, no trouble at all, the shower was great!"

"Need anything else?"

"Nope, just getting dressed."

Dean rests his head against the door and sighs. "Yeah, actually a shower and getting ready is what I need to be doing."

"Ok, see you out there!"

Walking down the hallways that are becoming more and more familiar with each visit, she makes her way to the main room. Pausing in the doorway, she smiles at the sight of Sam in his element, sitting at one of the tables, laptop in front of him, surrounded by papers and books.

"On to the next hunt already?"

Glancing up from his screen, a genial smile overtakes his face. "Hey! No, not yet, just looking into some possibilities."

"Do you ever take a day off?" She asks, sitting down across from him.

"Yeah, but not many. There's always another creature, or hunt, or apocalypse."

Chuckling slightly, she nods. "You're right about that."

"Where's Dean? I'm surprised he's not right beside you."

She quirks her head to the side, looking puzzled. "What do you mean by that?"

"The two of you have been kinda glued at the hip since you came to the bunker to check up on me."

"I actually didn't plan on coming here that day or any day for that matter but the night I met your brother, something happened and I don't exactly know how to describe it. He makes my head all fuzzy."

"Yeah, I've noticed that."

"Oh!"

"But it's not just you, Dean gets all hazy around you too."

Blinking rapidly at him in confusion, she asks. "Really?"

"Absolutely, you guys really seem to influence each other." Rubbing his chin, he sighs. "He thinks it's only him being affected but I've seen how he affects you."

Looking down at her hands, she shakes her head. "I'm not sure why we make each other feel like this, it kinda scares me, but I can't seem to stay away from him."

"Sounds like what Dean has said to me." She begins to fiddle nervously with her wet hair, so he decides to change the topic of conversation. "So, umm, do you need to borrow my blow dryer?"

"Hmm?" She finally looks up at him.

"Your hair is still wet. Did you want to blow dry it?"

"Oh no, I let my hair air dry. But thanks, anyway."

"I usually do too, because too much heat on your hair isn't a good thing but there are times when I need to get out the last bit of dampness before I have to head out."

"Well, for the past couple years, I don't really go anywhere." She admits, rubbing the back of her neck. "Other than getting food and now seeing you guys, I stay home. Plus I shower at night and let my hair dry while I sleep."

"Wait, so you haven't hunted in years?"
"Here or there but not really. After I trained with Bobby for a few years, I struck out on my own, you know, hunting and whatnot. I even tried to have a social life but..."

Knowingly Sam nods. "The hunting lifestyle doesn't really allow for that."

"Yeah, sorta but It was more like after a while I realized I was being hunted and it was easier to hide and stay away than constantly being targeted."

"Are you still being hunted?"

"Yes, which is why I told Dean at first that it would probably be best if I wasn't around you guys for your own safety."

"But we're us, we can..."

She cuts him off. "Handle yourselves. Yeah, Dean said that too."

"We have stopped the world from ending a few times now."

"I know but they never stop and it can get to be a lot."

"So the only reason you are out of hiding right now is because of Dean?"
"Yes..." She looks down at her hands again. "Like I said I can't seem to stay away, being by him just feels right. It's almost like we're made for each other."

Sam chuckles at this and she gives him a death glare. "But don't you dare tell him I said that!"

"Ok, ok." He responds with his hands up in surrender.

"Tell me what?" Dean asks entering the main room.

"That she can't stand your ugly, jerk face."

"Yeah, ok Sam, whatever. Tell me what?" He repeats looking between Mae and his brother.

"I don't know Dean, I think if I repeat what she said, I might go 'missing'."

"Right..." Dean purses his lips together.

"It's nothing really Dean, we were talking about hair and hunting."

Dean remains skeptical but decides his date matters more. "So, I'm ready whenever you are, Sweetheart."

"Does it matter that my hair is still wet? Sam said I could use his hair dryer."

"Nah, looks great to me, plus we have about a half an hour drive before the first part of our date."

Smiling at him, she pushes some of her damp hair behind her ear. "First part?"

"Yeah, I have a few things planned." They both grin at each other like love struck school children and Sam rolls his eyes with a smirk. "You ready to go, Beautiful?"

Standing from the table, she points to the hallway. "Yeah, I just have to grab my things, so I can pack my car before we head out."
"Ouch." Dean feigns clutching his chest in pain. "You really know how to hurt a guy."

"What?" She stares at him confused.

"We haven't even started our date and you're already planning your get away."

Waving him off, she shakes her head as she walks towards the hall. "Oh no Winchester, none of that, you got me to stay one night. You aren't going to talk me into another."

He watches her body move as she heads off, taking in its every sway and curve. Perfect. "We'll see about that." He says, as he follows her out of the main room to help with her bags.
