Eleanor lightly inched the distorted glass door forward, cautious as not to startle the blonde pacing back and forth with the big vodka bottle in her hand. "Look, I don't want to talk to anyone right-", she made eye contact with Eleanor who wore a tight-lipped smile. "Oh, yeah whatever come in just shut the door", she hurried out.

Eleanor did as she was told, shuffling into the room and gently closing the door before standing awkwardly with her hands clasped in front of her. There was a moment of silence whilst Yelena continued to pace. When she came to a standstill she tossed the bottle onto the bed, both women watched it bounce slightly on the plush mattress, secretly hoping it wouldn't do that thing that phones do and decide to take a detour by hitting every other surface in the room first.

"I'm sorry-", both said simultaneously, a small chuckle escaping them at the fact. "You go first", Yelena gestured with her hand.

Eleanor smirked slightly before falling back into her sympathetic expression, "I'm sorry that your family are total asshats, and that includes my wife, man was she being a complete and utter tool out there", she shook her head. She loved her wife with all of her heart, but it was twice in a short space of time that she had made Yelena feel like utter shit. Married or not she knew when her wife needed to be held accountable for her actions.

"It's okay", Yelena started with a small voice.

"No, it's not".

The blonde raised her eyebrows at the blunt tone, "Yeah, you're right". There was a small awkward silence as both stood staring at the floor.

After a few moments, Yelena inched forward, Eleanor quirking a brow wondering what the hell was happening when Yelena opened her arms slightly. Sensing the judgement, the younger let out a small laugh "I don't really know how to do this".

"That's okay", Eleanor smiled gently and moved forward, "I do".

Yelena was more than eager to wrap her sister-in-law up in a hug, but not without scoffing slightly, "I don't know why I like you so much", she chuckled dryly. But she knew. Even though they had known each other for a very short time, a lot had happened in that time, and Eleanor was the only person who hasn't given up on her. Even when she tried her best to push her away, the slightly older woman didn't falter in wanting to make sure that she was okay, she didn't just leave her or make her feel like she wasn't worth the effort, which is something she cannot say about anyone else throughout her life.

"I know why, because I'm just the best person on Earth".

"Get over yourself", Yelena laughed, and again there was silence, though a comfortable one. Yelena frowned and squeezed Eleanor slightly tighter, "I'm sorry about your Mom". Eleanor's body tensed up briefly as she swallowed harshly.

"Thank you", her voice shook and Yelena pulled away from the hug, keeping her hands on her shoulders, flashing a friendly smile.

"If you tell anyone I wanted a hug you're gone, understood?". Yelena's tone may have been jokey, but Eleanor didn't doubt that was the case, so she nodded and gave a mock salute, prompting Yelena to swiftly shove her away as she made a gagging noise. "You're such a dork".

Eleanor was about to laugh but then she saw Alexei walk in. Eleanor rolled her eyes and immediately Yelena picked up the bottle of vodka on the bed. Any of the tensions that Eleanor had managed to ease from Yelena had immediately come back again, her firsts were clenching and her jaw was tight. "I came in here because I didn't want to talk".

"Okay, we uh, we just sit", he smiled gently and made a move to sit on the bed. Eleanor sent a questioning look to Yelena, who glanced at her and nodded. She took the hint and made her exit.
