As another surge of electricity crackled its way through Eleanor's body, and a hoard more punches were aimed at Natasha, the grunts of pain continued. Eleanor didn't know how much more her body could take. The edges of her vision felt fuzzy, but she was terrified of passing out. Terrified of waking up in a lab somewhere for Dreykov's sick experiments, knowing that even if she were to get out, Natasha wouldn't be there.

If it weren't for the excruciating pain, she could have burst into tears. As she stared at her wife, trying to soak up every last moment before they lost the battle, she heard a tickling sound. It sounded like a bomb? Her eyebrows managed to furrow in confusion before an explosion appeared over their heads. At first, terror ran through her body thinking that they were all about to be blown up, but her body relaxed when she saw the red powder in a smoke cloud. The widows pulled away with confusion, allowing the two to catch their breaths.

Natasha crouched on the floor sighing with relief, and Eleanor remained flat on her back, her muscles locked in a contracted state. It wasn't ideal, but she was glad that the painful part was over. Now she just needed to wait for her muscles to loosen up.

Her head tilted to the side to look at Natasha smiling softly when she saw she was okay, and then she saw Yelena in her view, helping Natasha into a standing position, "Hey, are you okay?", the blonde softly spoke to her sister. Eleanor was relieved that she was okay, having been left in the dark throughout this entire plan.

Natasha nodded and the two moved to crouch next to Eleanor, who was still unable to move. They all weakly smiled at each other as Eleanor croaked out "Can't move", with a dry chuckle. It was expected.

"I'm sorry детка", Nat leant down and pressed her forehead against hers, cupping her face softly. This entire experience had been emotionally taxing. Even Yelena took one of Eleanor's hands and briefly squeezed it before letting go, not wanting to be seen openly showing affection. The three were interrupted of their time of reflection and moment of peace when some of the widows inched closer to them.

"What do we do now?", one of them spoke in Finnish, and her heart broke. It reminded her of when Nat first joined SHIELD. Her whole life had been in service of the Red Room and the KGB, she had never experienced free time, and Eleanor remembered her struggles of trying to find hobbies and other meaningful parts of life that weren't taking orders from psychopaths.

Natasha looked around at all of their faces before answering, "Get as far away from here as possible. You get to make your own choices now". An explosion in the distance drew their attention away, and Nat patted Yelena, "We gotta get out of here, you take El until her body recovers, I'm right behind you", she then moved against the wave of widows that were moving out and towards the desk.

Eleanor managed to roll onto her side and went to protest but before she could, Yelena picked her up and held her hands under her thighs after wrapping Eleanor's arms around her neck, carrying her upright like a baby. Eleanor did not like this one bit.

She had no choice but to let herself be carried by Yelena as she ran out of the room. "Nat!", she tried to shout to her. Her wife acknowledged her with a sorry smile, before getting back to the task at hand, and then they were out of the room. "Yelena take me back I'm not leaving her there!", she spoke sternly, almost yelling at Yelena.

"No!", she spoke back even harsher, "Your body is like a sack of potatoes right now, you will only slow her down when she needs to escape, you are better off with me until you can move again".

"But I was just about getting feeling back! I'll be fine, I can move soon!", she protested and wiggled slightly in Yelena's hold, who just squeezed her tighter as a warning. With a sulky huff, Eleanor gave up. She could slowly feel her muscles starting to regain feeling, which was a good sign. Hopefully, she would be able to move fully again within a few minutes so that she wasn't dragging everyone down. Not that any of them minded, her body had just coped with a huge surge of electricity. That was no easy feat.
