As well as Natasha being a distraction, Eleanor had ended up taking a similar role on the raft when they realised just how locked down tight the place was. As Steve grimaced at seeing hoards of guards, Eleanor took it upon herself to try and clear the way down to where her friends were being kept. With great hesitance Steve nodded along to her plan, knowing that Natasha was most definitely, most certainly, absolutely going to murder him if Eleanor ended up getting caught.
But they were there now and there was no going back, they'd be spotted if they tried to escape now, so they might as well make an attempt at getting their friends back. And so, Steve looked on with a wince as Eleanor strutted over to the first set of guards in the way, muscles taut in preparation to run when the hoard of armed men would go and chase after one of his best friends. Definitely not stressful for him at all.
Eleanor on the other hand looked like a picture of pure and uninterrupted confidence. There was not even an anxious twitch of her fingers as she marched across the tarmac and over to the guards who had just pegged her existence and were now narrowing their eyes at her, as though trying to put a finger on recognising her, but also wondering how the hell some random woman was just strolling casually across the most high-security prison in the world.
After only a few more mere seconds, the two guards came to their senses and realised that they most definitely should be apprehending her right now. Eleanor came to a standstill as she saw the guards press some kind of panic button attached to their belts and almost immediately another group of guards with giant-ass rifles came charging out through the door. Eleanor gulped and gave them a fist wave, raising her hand and moving her fingers down to her palm a few times.
Steve was still watching from afar, hidden in the shadows, and groaned at hearing "It's one of the Romanoffs! Maim but do not kill!", right before watching Eleanor scramble clumsily into a sprint in the opposite direction of the entrance. He would wait a few more minutes before heading into the facility, however. Knowing that there would be more guards leaving their current posts in order to capture the runaway Avenger, it would inevitably happen. Ross would want their heads on a plate if they realise they let Eleanor go, being one of the big three on the run. Especially with Natasha turning herself in being enough of a distraction in itself, he was sure that Ross would enjoy having both halves of the duo just to rub it in their faces.
As suspected, more groups of guards came pouring out of the door until there were none. Of course, Steve was concerned for the wellbeing of his friend, obviously he was as she looked to be getting hunted down by an entire army. But he shrugged it off and mumbled under his breath "Eh, she's scrappy", before coming out of his hiding space and sprinting towards the locked entrance. Using his super soldier strength he had the door open within ten kicks, the lock mechanism holding the doors together completely busted.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the facility, Eleanor was not having a fabulous time. Whilst sprinting she was breathlessly chanting a mixture of phrases all along the lines of "What the flying fuck am I doing?", "Fucking fuck", and "Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit". Along with a few variations of words that should not be written down.
She was skidding all over the place whilst trying to take as many sharp turns as possible, on more than one occasion slamming into a wall or a door by accident. "I just wanna go home", she half-whined half-cried as more people approached her front, causing her to have to try and strategically U-turn, forcing her to climb over some storage boxes and parkour over them, avoiding shots from the rifles. "Maim not kill, my ass", she grumbled as a bullet skimmed past her head.
With a small squeak, she jumped from a container and hit the floor with a thud before trying to pathetically blow hair away that was stuck in her mouth, spluttering and almost choking before getting up and sprinting again, ignoring the burning in her calves. She kept circling around to the agreed-upon rendezvous point, but Steve and the crew were never there.
