Natasha carried Eleanor through the halls of the Red Room in a bridal style. Well... Natasha disguised as Melina carried Eleanor. The younger woman was still unconscious in her arms, and it took everything in Nat's power not to look down at her, or stop to check up on her, Widow bites can be nasty. Instead, she had to carry her wife around the place without a care in the world, acting as though she was a ragdoll. But her heart broke at every corner, after seeing the armed guards and a room of widows training, it all brought back too familiar memories, so she focused on the mission ahead of her and continued walking.
Following Melina's navigational instructions in her head, praying her memory was serving her correctly, she reached the elevator to Dreykov's office. Awkwardly fumbling to press the button with her wife in her arms, she waited for the doors to open and stepped in, allowing this brief moment of privacy to mean that she can let her guard down. She puffed out an anxious breath and looked down at Eleanor who, even though they were in one of the most high-stakes situations they had ever been in, looked as peaceful as ever as she slept.
Nat's nerves were flying through the roof. As the lift ascended, every second that passed she was closer to seeing Dreykov for the first time in years. The man who stole her childhood. The man who killed her mother. The man who played a puppeteer act in both her and her wife's life. After hearing the revelation about how Dreykov had both of their mothers killed because the two women both loved their babies so much that they were relentless in trying to protect them, Natasha only felt a fresh wave of anger towards the man. She wanted justice for both her mother who she did not know the name of, and Mila, Eleanor's mother. These women deserved justice.
As her train of thought spiralled, the doors opened and she held her breath as she walked out, before putting a blank face back on again, exuding confidence. This was what she was good at. She slowly walked through the small lobby area before the doors opened for her to enter. She stood still for a moment before walking through, Dreykov sat casually on a sofa with Taskmaster standing behind him. "My God. Look at you", he spoke and stood, the two meeting halfway, "So uh, how was the family reunion?".
"Oh it was awful. They were clingy, and too emotional and needy". Dreykov chuckled throughout her talking which made her want to die a bit inside, but then she briefly looked down at Eleanor and cringed at her next words, "But I managed to get you a gift". Dreykov's eyes lit up as he stared down at her with a predatory gaze that made Nat uncomfortable, and she had to focus on not moving away when Dreykov laid his hand on Eleanor's hairline.
"Ahh, Mila's clone. Little C-1. What did she end up naming her again?", he looked up at 'Melina' expectedly. "Eleanor", she answered simply, her grip on the woman tightening slightly when Dreykov moved his hand away. "Yes, yes. Now known as Eleanor Romanoff, huh? Funny that my two most wanted widows found solace in each other. Shame they won't remember each other when I'm done with the both of them. Two Avengers under my control, I'd be unstoppable", he grinned, "I have Natasha and Mila back".
Nat nodded, trying not to show just how nauseous she was feeling at his words. "Just dump her over there, we can wake her up in a few moments". Nat nodded and dropped Eleanor on the floor a little harder than she would have liked to before moving back to Dreykov who began talking to her about Yelena and the antidotes. Natasha did her best to keep up with the conversation, including mentioning the pigs.
Though at mentioning the pigs Dreykov just moved 'Melina' to sit in front of his desk and gripped her hair, "Cut her brain out... Hmm? Identify the weakness".
Nat sat quietly for a few moments ad Dreykov moved to sit on his desk and lean over to her, "What about Romanoff?".
"She's a traitor. She turned her back on her people. On her blood. She had nothing. I gave her home, I gave her love. Put that thing in her you do. You know, uh, chemicals. Turn her into one of your pigs".
