"So?" King Orrin demanded impatiently "Where are they?"

"Patience king Orrin" the dwarven king Orik told the human man.

The man hit the arm of his chair angrily, getting ready to stand up when a knight came into the room announcing the entrance of the riders.

"The riders, Lord Vanir of Du Weldenvarden and Lady Allara Stark of..." the man trailed off, not entirely sure of how to continue the announcement.

"Let them in" the queen cut him off sharply.

As the door was opened a male elf with dark hair came in followed by a beautiful young woman with silver hair.

The two of them looked around the room at the familiar faces in front of them.

Allara kept her head held high as the new people around the table placed their eyes on her and Vanir.

"Are these the riders?" a man wearing a bronze crown over his golden hair asked, his eyes raking over Allara's body uncomfortably.

"They are" Nasuada said.

"And how do they plan to protect us? With just two riders, what is there that they can do if, as you said, we do not know what is out there that keeps attacking our people, your people?" the man asked his queen in a rough tone of voice.

"You have not seen what I have" Nasuada said "They brought dragons, large ones as I am sure I mentioned before" she quirked her eyebrow "Or did you not hear that part during our council?"

The man spluttered as his face grew red both from embarrassment and anger at her statement.

"And how do riders suggest we proceed with our...investigations, on what could be doing such things" the short dwarven king asked them.

Vanir took a step forward.

"My queen Arya believes that the pillaging of the villages is made by the Ra'zac..." the elf began.

"And how do you believe to know this?" king Orik asked him.

"The rider Eragon contacted our queen not too long ago telling her of a premonition he had...in a dream. And the traces of Seithr Oil that we found on a city matches the one that was previously used by the creatures" he stated.

"So you are basing all your findings on the dream of a single man?" the human king interjected.

"I suggest you choose your words here carefully, king Orrin" Nasuada seethed.

Allara noticed that the man acknowledged the woman as his queen reluctantly as he lowered his head to her.

"Queen Arya is of trust, and after everything Eragon has done for Alagaësia we must trust in his judgement" the dark skinned queen continued.

"Lady Allara has also dreamt of the Ra'zac" Vanir said, making the woman he mentioned stand straighter.

"If two riders have dreamt a similar dream, who are we to deny their truths" king Orik said "Eragon is a member of my house hold by my late father's wish and the dwarven kingdom will follow his decision and yours queen Nasuada, be what they may be"

The queen nodded her head gratefully to the short male.

"My queen" the knight that had presented Allara and Vanir into the room entered once more "the leader of the kulls and urgals Nar Garzhvog has come to join the audience"

"Tell them that we will join them outside" the queen told the man.

"What are kulls and urgals?" Allara asked Vanir in a whisper.

"You will see" the elf told her as the queen and the two male kings adjourned their meeting.

With brisk steps the woman led them outside the palace to the courtyard built outside. Allara stumbled slightly and her eyes went ajar when she saw the creatures before her.

The foremost one was a tall, dark blue skinned...male with black greasy hair held back by horns that came out of the sides of...his? head. His yellow eyes looked down upon them at his height that seemed over eight feet tall. His entire form rippled with bulging muscles. He wore a simple dirty loincloth and bits of scattered armour on his body, with the skull of an animal Allara could not place on top of his head.

Behind him were two more similar looking beings, though shorter and with much smaller horns.

The largest one stepped forward and Allara could see the guards shuffled around nervously, and who wouldn't before such an impressive sight. She had heard of the giants farther up North than the wall the Night's Watch protected but she had not yet seen one. The only larger creatures in Westeros were the dragons and the occasional direwolf, like the one her brother Carter had decided to adopt in secret from their parents.

"Queen Nasuada" the male's voice was rough and scratched the wrong places in Allara's ears "We have come to meet you as you called for us"

"Just in time Nar Garzhvog. The new riders were just about to show us how the expect to fight against the Ra'zac, and gods hope those have not grown" king Orrin said as he turned to them "Were might your dragons be lord Vanir?"

The elf moved aside so Allara could step forward and she pulled out her famous dragon whistle. She received an encouraged nod from the dark haired elf and she blew on it.

Drogos, Umaroth and Embar's heads snapped up as the noise of the whistle called for them.

"Again?" Drogos complained as he yawned "And right when I was managing to fall asleep"

"Come on brother" Embar nudged little Umaroth upright "Do you wish to come Agaravel?"

"I will stay here for the meantime" the Eldunarí said "I...require some rest"

She did not mean it because of her fatigue but because she had been giving energy to two massive dragons throughout the trip to Ilirea and she thought she needed to regain some of the loss she had had Umaroth clambered onto the turquoise dragon's back since both the climb and the descend down from the cave was quite high up.

And so the two dragons rose into the sky and then dived down to where the whistle's sound was coming from.

I know I'm writing a lot of scenes where people get scared or surprised by the size of Drogos and Embar but I just love thinking of what their faces would look like 😋😅.
