Chapter 16

Y/N finished all their classes and stood in the common room waiting. James, Sirius, Remus and Peter walked downstairs. Remus was worried. Everyone else was also worried for him.

"Are we ready?" Y/N asked

"Ready as I'll ever be." Remus shrugged

"Why are you smiling now Sirius?" Y/N turned to him

"Sorry. My prank on Snivellius is set up." He chuckled

They all snuck out of the school and to the Whomping Willow. Peter transformed and calmed the tree down so everyone could enter. Remus walked in first and went upstairs. Everyone stayed downstairs.

"What now?" Y/N asked

A rustling noise came from behind them all. Severus stepped out.

"What are you doing here Snivellius?!" James yelled

It was too late. A werewolf made its way down the stairs. No one was in animagus form.

"Come with me Severus!" Y/N pulled him to the side

Y/N opened some wood panels in the wall and pushed him into there. By the time they walked away, no one else was in the house. They walked through the passage to see everyone outside. They transformed into their fox form and walked out.

Remus was surrounded by animagi. For some unknown reason, Severus walked back out of the passage. Remus leaped at him but was stopped by James.

"What the Fuck?!" Severus yelled

Y/N pushed Severus out of trouble again. They pulled him to some trees and transformed back. Severus stood in shock.

"As much as you hate us. You mustn't tell anyone. If you do I will kill you." Y/N warned him

He nodded vigorously. Y/N turned into their fox form and ran over to the others. After what seemed like forever, the sun started to rise. Remus transformed back and Severus was nowhere to be seen.

"We need to get him to Poppy." James lifted him up

They brought Remus to Madam Pomfrey and laid him down on one of the beds.

"We're you followed back?" She asked

"No." Y/N spoke, "I don't think so, anyway."

Madam Pomfrey tended to Remus' new wounds. Y/N sat down next to him. Many things rushed through their mind. One thing in particular. Tom Riddle. Y/N still had the book.

Y/N's mind:

"Aww. You're friend is a werewolf. And you're an animagi." Tom laughed

"Shut. Up." Y/N yelled

"You know. I would kill Snape if I were you." Tom spoke, "Oh wait. I can be you!"

Tom took control and Y/N lost control.

Y/N's body stood up and walked to the door.

"Where are you going Vix?" Peter asked

"To go see someone." 'Y/N' smiled

Their body walked around Hogwarts until they found Severus. He was with Lucius.

"Ah Snape!" Y/N's body stepped closer

"Hello Potter." Lucius spoke

"Potter? Oh right! Y/N would let what you say slide, Snape." They pulled out Y/N's wand, "But I won't. You weren't meant to find out about that. I can't believe I'm protecting some Gryffindors but they're useful."

'Y/N' started casting spells at Severus. McGonagall walked over in a panic.

"Miss Potter! What are you doing to Mr Snape?!" McGonagall yelled

"I'm not Y/N Potter." Their body continued shooting spells at Severus, "Tell Dumbledore and Slughorn Tom says hello," 'Y/N' smiled

"Boys, you need to leave." McGonagall ordered

The slytherin boys ran away. McGonagall pulled out her wand.

"If you hurt me. Y/N's body and conscience get hurt."

Y/N managed to gain control of their body.

"Help. Do it professor." The real Y/N pleaded

Tom gained control again and started shooting spells at McGonagall. Y/N's body got knocked back and they passed out. McGonagall carried them to the hospital wing. The boys sat in shock as Y/N got carried over and put on the bed next to Remus, who was awake.

"What happened Minerva?" Pomfrey ran to Y/N's body

"The chamber. He's trying to open it. Miss Potter here, just so happens to be the one to try and open it." McGonagall sighed, "And it's not willingly."

"He's back." Pomfrey started to help Y/N

James ran over to his sibling's body.

"What happened? Will they be ok?" James asked

"It was nothing major. They'll be fine Mr Potter." McGonagall reassured the student

Pomfrey placed a wet cloth on Y/N's forehead and stepped back in shock.

"Minerva. Get Dumbledore." Pomfrey spoke

McGonagall ran out of the room. Y/N sat up in the bed as fast as they could. They gripped their head.

"What happened this time?!" Y/N's voice was distorted, it was a mix of Y/N's voice and Tom's, "Last time I didn't have a splitting headache!"

"What do you mean 'last time'?" Sirius asked

Dumbledore ran into the room before Y/N could explain. He cast a spell at Y/N. Tom gained control once more.

"Is this what you intended Albus?" McGonagall asked

"Very much so." The headmaster looked at McGonagall and nodded

Dumbledore turned back to 'Y/N'.

"What is the meaning of the Tom?" He asked

"You're a fool, old man. The chamber must be opened. The basilisk will run free among the halls of Hogwarts." 'Y/N' laughed

The students stood behind the adults in horror. What was happening to their friend? James' sibling.

"What's a basilisk?" Peter tugged on James' sleeve

"A giant, poisonous snake." McGonagall told the boy

"What is the object?" Dumbledore asked 'Y/N'

"Why would I tell you?" 'Y/N' laughed

"Boys." McGonagall turned to them, "Did Y/N have anything strange yesterday? Anything out of the ordinary?"

"No." Remus, who had sat up in the time, said

'Y/N', or Tom, started yelling out in pain. Tom last control and Y/N gained it but Dumbledore didn't notice.

"He's gone!" Y/N cried out, "He's gone! Just stop!"

He stopped shooting spells.

"You three." McGonagall pointed to Sirius, Peter and James, "Go to your common room. You can return after classes tomorrow."
