Chapter 40

Y/N and Remus soon left the hospital wing later that day. They both headed to Remus' classroom. Remus pulled out a book from one of his shelves and gave it to them.

"Lycanthropy, Tips and Tricks." Y/N read the name of the book

"You can use the book for help and I can halo you if you have any questions." Remus smiled at them

Y/N smiled and hugged him tight.

"Thanks." Y/N thanked him

"I'm still sorry." Remus hugged them back, "About biting you."

"It's fine." Y/N looked up at him

"You have more things to go through." Remus sighed, "Two potions you need to drink almost every day. A mission to complete so you can go back home. Dead family. Dead friends. And many more things."

"It'll all be ok." Y/N reassured him

"You should get to dinner." Remus indicated to the door

"Ok." Y/N nodded

Remus stayed in his classroom while Y/N went to dinner. Y/N shrunk the book and put it in their pocket as they walked into the hall. They sat down next to Hermionie and began to eat in silence. Fred walked over and took the book from their pocket before sitting down next to Y/N. George sat down opposite from his twin.

"What's this?" Fred looked at the shrunken book

"Give it back, Fred." Y/N put their hand out

"No." He smiled

He gave it to George.

"Lycanthr-" George began to read out

Y/N snatched if off him before he finished the first word.

"No." Y/N out it back in their pocket

Ginny made it float out their pocket and back into George's hands.

"Thank you, my loving sister." George thanked Ginny

Remus walked into the great hall. He passed Y/N and stopped.

"Give the book back to Y/N." He told George

George rolled his eyes and handed the small book back to Y/N.

"We started Tomorrow, if that's ok." Remus said to Y/N

"That's fine. The faster I know, the better." Y/N smiled at him

Remus smiled back and walked away.

"What was that about?" Hermione asked, "How are you so close to the teachers?"

"It's nothing." Y/N continued eating

Once Y/N finished eating, they left the great hall. After a while, everyone was starting to leave, even the professors. Regulus walked over to Remus.

"Where's Y/N?" Regulus asked

"I'm not sure." Remus looked around at all the students

The two began to look everywhere for them.

"What about the shack?" Regulus wondered

They went inside the Shrieking Shack to see Y/N fast asleep with the 'Lycanthropy: Tips and Tricks' book on their chest and their head rested on Sirius, who was in his animagi form. Sirius was still awake.

"Hey, Sirius. How long have they been here with you?" Remus asked

He barked his response.

"20minutes." Remus translated

Regulus sat down next to Y/N.

"We shouldn't wake them. The past few days have been hard for them." Regulus said

"Let's just stay in here for the night." Remus sat down opposite them

Sirius nudged Y/N's head over to Regulus' shoulder and then rested his own head on Remus' shoulder before transforming back into a human.

"Should we really be sleeping on the floor?" Remus chuckled

"Shush." Sirius shushed him, "Go to sleep."

Remus rested his back on the wall behind him and fell asleep. Regulus laid down, with Y/N, and fell asleep. Y/N woke up, around midnight, and couldn't get back to sleep.

"Padfoot?" Y/N sat up

"I'm awake." Sirius said, his eyes still closed, "What do you need, Vix?"

"I can't sleep. I'm hungry." Y/N held their stomach

"I've got an apple that I stole from Hogsmeade." Sirius suggested

"I'm not hungry for apples." Y/N shook their head

"Shit." He cursed

Sirius shook Remus awake.

"What's wrong?" Remus asked, you could hear the tiredness in his voice,

"I'm hungry." Y/N complained

"Ok. Sirius stole an apple from Hogsmeade." Remus shrugged

"They're not hungry for apples." Sirius told him

"Ok then. Let's go." Remus said

Remus stood up and helped Y/N up. The two headed to Hogsmeade and stole some random foods, ranging from F/F to chocolate. Once they arrived back, they laid out the food.

"Dig in." Remus stepped back

Y/N began to eat some of the food. Mostly the things that included meat and, they obviously ate F/F.

"I hate this! The thing I like the most is the things with meat in them!" Y/N complained

"It's going to be ok. You'll get used to it." Remus reassured them

"Can I have some chocolate?" Y/N asked him

"That could kill the wolf inside. Leading to possibly killing you." Sirius stood up

"I don't really care at the moment, Sirius." Y/N sighed

Remus gave the chocolate to Y/N and they began to eat it.

"I hate this." Y/N sat down next to Regulus, who was still sleeping, "How did you deal with this?"

"Pain, struggle, and learning." Remus sat down

Sirius sat down next to Remus. Y/N transformed into their animagi form.

"I'm tired." Y/N stopped eating the chocolate

"Go to sleep then." Sirius said

"I can't." They shook their head

"It's gonna be hard until the first two transformations but I can help you get through them." Remus smiled at them

"Thanks, Moony." Y/N smiled back, "I'd love that."

"Try and sleep, though." Sirius said

Remus rested his head on Sirius' shoulder and fell asleep.

"It must be so hard for him." Y/N looked down at Remus, "He's had this since he was 4 and he seems ok, but he's not."

"He's getting better, though." Sirius smiled at his boyfriend

"He is." Y/N smiled

"I can still hear you." Remus said, his eyes still closed,

"Good for you." Y/N laughed

"We should get some sleep though." Sirius said

They all fell asleep.
