Chapter 31

"It happened in 4th year."

Molly held Y/N's wrist and lifted their sleeve.

"Who did this?" Molly asked, "Who carved 'blood traitor' into your wrist?"

"Wallburga Black." Y/N mumbled, "I was left alone in a room with her. It was my own mistake."

"You were a child, Y/N." Arthur pointed out, "You didn't any mistakes."

"Im going to go pack." Y/N stood up

Y/N walked upstairs and began to pack for Egypt. Once everyone had packed, they left.

They all arrived back home after a few weeks. The Weasleys had made the news during that time as well. Now, they were staying at the leaky cauldron for the next week or so.

"Sirius Black has escaped Azkaban!" Fred showed the newspaper to Y/N

"How did he do it?" George asked

"I think I know." Y/N whispered

"What was that, Y/N?" Fred asked

"Nothing." Y/N said

Y/N ordered a drink and drank it in one go. They saw something out of the corner of their eye, in the window. Y/N walked outside to the window and saw a black dog.

"Sirius?" Y/N whispered

The dog barked at Y/N. They crouched down to the dog and laid their hand out. The dog walked closer to Y/N and sat in front of them.

"Is that you?" Y/N asked

It transformed into Sirius. His face was dirty, his clothes were ragged and his hair was a mess. Back in the 70s, he would wear amazing outfits and took hours to make his hair how he wanted it; now it looks like he doesn't care about that anymore.

"Y/N." Sirius mumbled

"It's really you." Y/N smiled weakly

"Y/N." He cried, "I messed up."

"It's ok. I understand it already." Y/N hugged him

"How?" Sirius leaned into the hug

"I have a time turner. I went back to 1980 and re-lived their death twice. At one point, I helped you hurt Peter. And in another, I stayed with Harry and yelled at Severus." Y/N explained

Sirius continued to cry into their shoulder.

"Do you need help with anything?" They asked him

"I need help getting into Hogwarts. I need to kill Peter."

"Isn't he already dead?"

He shook his head.

"I'll help you get into Hogwarts." Y/N reassured him, "I need to go now."

They looked into the window to see people looking for them. Y/N said goodbye to Sirius and went back inside.

"Where were you, Y/N?" Molly asked

"I thought I saw something." Y/N half lied

Hermione and Ron walked into the room, arguing about their pets. Harry to walked down and began to talk to Hermione and Ron. Molly walked over to Harry and greeted him.

"Y/N." Arthur got their attention, "We need to talk, with Harry."

"Why?" Y/N asked

"It's about." Arthur paused and looked around, "Sirius Black." He whispered

Y/N stood up and followed Arthur. He got Harry to come over as well to talk.

"Harry." Arthur started, "Some within the Ministry would strongly discourage me from divulging what I'm about to reveal to you."

"Hurry up. You told me who it was about but nothing about what." Y/N spun their wrist to symbolise hurrying up

"You both, are in danger." Arthur brought them to another spot, "Grave danger."

"Has this anything to do with Sirius Black, Sir?" Harry asked

Y/N felt a lump in their throat.

"What do you know about Sirius Black, Harry?" Arthur asked him

"Only that he's escaped from Azkaban." Harry replied

"Do you know why?"

Harry shook his head.

"Thirteen years ago, when you stopped-" Arthur started

"Voldemort." Y/N finished his sentence

"Don't say his name." Arthur hissed, "When you stopped you-know-who. Black lost everything."

Y/N felt their blood boil. This was all fake.

"Im leaving." Y/N walked over to the table

It was the day that they were meant to leave for Hogwarts. They had just gotten on the train and we're heading to a free carriage. The only one left was one with a man in it; it was Remus, he was sleeping by the window.

"Remus." Y/N whispered

"What was that, Y/N?" Hermionie asked

"Nothing. Let's just get into this carriage." Y/N walked in

Y/N sat next to Remus. Harry sat next to Y/N. Hermionie sat in front of Harry. Ron sat in front of Remus.

"Who do you think that is?" Ron asked, looking over at Remus

"Professor R.J Lupin." Y/N said

"Do you know everything?" Ron sat down properly

"It's on his suitcase, Ronald." Hermionie pointed out

Harry closed the carriage door and got everyone's attention. He explained what Arthur had told him and Y/N. Ron called Sirius a 'murderous, raving lunatic' but Y/N couldn't say anything about it, their cover would be blown if they did. The train came to a quick halt and everyone looked around, confused.

"Why are we stopping?" Hermionie asked, "We can't be there yet."

Harry checked outside the carriage but was knocked back inside.

"Whats going on?" Ron began to panic

"Don't know. Maybe we've broken down." Harry shrugged

"The train never breaks down." Y/N shook their head in disbelief

The lights turned off. Ron saw something moving outside. Y/N tapped Remus slightly, while no one was looking, to try and wake him. It was a full moon the night before so Y/N understood why he was sleeping.

"What's happening?" Ron asked

A cloaked figure came to the door of the carriage. It opened the door and stepped into the doorway. A dementor. The dementor began to suck Harry's soul out.

"Harry!" Y/N yelled

Y/N stood up and held their wand out.

"Expecto Patronum!" Y/N started to cast a spell at it

Remus got up as well and casted the same spell, but non-verbal, at the dementor, causing it to leave. Harry was now passed out on the chair.

"Someone help him." Remus said
