Chapter 35

Regulus and Draco got to know each other over the next few days. There was a day before the next Quidditch match and Regulus walked over to the pitch.

"What are you doing here, Lupin?" Ron walked over to Regulus

"I came to get Y/N. They're your adopted sibling, right?" Regulus told him

"What do you need Y/N for?" Ron continued to ask questions, "I can pass a message."

"Tell them: the moon and stars want to talk under the tree in 20minutes." Regulus said

He didn't have enough time to walk away because Y/N flew down next to him.

"You ready?" Regulus smiled at them

"I need to put my broom away." Y/N stood next to him

Y/N sent their broom away.

"What do you need, Reg?" Y/N asked

"The moon and stars want to talk under the tree in 20minutes." Regulus said

"Let's go then." Y/N smiled

"Y/N!" Ron hissed, "He's in Slytherin! He hangs out with Malfoy!"

"Don't judge a book by its cover." Regulus told him

"Let's just go." Y/N pulled Regulus away

The two walked to the Shrieking Shack. Sirius and Remus weren't there yet.

"It's so quiet." Y/N sighed

"Too quiet. Something's up." Regulus looked around

"It's fine." Y/N wrapped their arms around his neck, "Take a break. Relax."

Regulus placed both his hands on Y/N's hips. He was about to kiss them when Remus and Sirius walked into the room.

"Wrap it up. Wrap it up." Sirius clapped his hands, "Get off each other."

"Quidditch is tomorrow. The dementors will be everywhere. We need to protect Harry." Remus stood by the table

"I'm on the Quidditch team so I can help from there." Y/N pulled away from Regulus and walked over

"I'll have to be by the Slytherins so I won't be much help." Regulus walked over

"As usual." Sirius grumbled

"Excuse me?" Regulus stared at him

"You'll be useless as usual!" Sirius raised his voice

"Hey! Now is not the time for an argument!" Y/N hit the table with their fists

"No. Now is the perfect time!" Sirius yelled at Y/N while still staring at Regulus, "He has done nothing to help us!"

"He's helped more than you have!" Y/N yelled at him, "I don't see you risking your life in a cave to kill Voldemort! I don't see you entrusting your legacy in an elf!"

Y/N pulled out the horcurux locket from under their shirt.

"Did you risk your life for this? Did you die for this?" Y/N asked him

Sirius stayed silent.

"Y/N, you wouldn't be saying any of this if you had been wearing that locket." Regulus walked over

Regulus tried to take the locket off them but Y/N stopped him.

"I need to practice for Qudditch." Y/N walked out the building

Y/N walked back to the Quidditch pitch to see the practice match end. Harry flew down to them.

"Where have you been?" Harry jumped off his broom

"Talking. Sorry, I should have been here." Y/N apologised

"The match is tomorrow, we need as much practice as we can get!" He raised his voice slightly

He pinched the bridge of his nose in frustration.

"Trust me. It'll be fine. The worst thing is, someone ends up in the hospital wing for a while." Y/N tried to make it seem good

"Just." He paused, "Just focus on what you need to do tomorrow."

And with that, Harry walked away. Y/N teleported into Remus' classroom. They sat by a window and watched what was going on outside. Remus walked into the room.

"Y/N? What are you doing here, shouldn't you be getting dinner?" Remus asked

"I'm not hungry." Y/N mumbled

"What's wrong?" He walked over to them

"I've." They paused for a while, "I've got a lot on my plate. I'm having to balance the task at hand, Quidditch, helping Regulus, dealing with Sirius, coping with everything I've learnt so far, and much much more."

He pulled them into a comforting hug.

"I wish Effie or Lily was here to do this." Remus chuckled softly, "Those two were always best at comfort."

Y/N mumbled a 'yes'.

"How are you?" Y/N tried to change the subject

"This isn't about me, it's about you." Remus stopped them, "Your problems are more important."

"I feel angry, all the time." Y/N sighed, "I'm seeing things that I don't want to."

"Like what?"

"I sawJames and Lily die, but I wasn't in my body. I was in Voldemort's body, or vision." Y/N said, "And I keep getting deja vu in the corridors and classrooms as if I had been there many many many MANY years ago."

"That is strange. Dumbledore is the one to talk to about that though." Remus sat down opposite from them

The door opened and Regulus walked in and saw Y/N.

"Ron is annoyed with me because he thinks I did something to you. Harry is annoyed at you for something to do with Quidditch. Hermione is trying to manage both of them." Regulus told Y/N

"Sounds like them." Y/N sighed, "Let's go then."

Y/N stood up. Regulus and Y/N walked out if Remus' classroom and started to make their way to the great hall.

"I'm not hungry." Y/N sighed

"Wanna go somewhere else then?" Regulus asked

"Always." Y/N smiled

He led them to the astronomy tower and they both climbed onto the roof. The stars were bright and clear, as well as the moon. They both sat down on the mostly flat part of the roof.

"Why didn't we do this in our actual years?" Y/N looked up at the night sky

"Never thought of it." Regulus shrugged

Regulus leaned in and lightly kissed Y/N on their cheek. Y/H smiled and rested their head on his shoulder.

"Did you ever do this with James?" Y/N asked

"No." Regulus shook his head
