Is it love? [Regulus x Reader]

Chapter 2

(The Gryffindor common room)

Once Y/n and the others arrived at the common rooms Lily walked past as, gaining our attention.

"Hey Lily." James spluttered his works

"Hey.. James. Hey, Y/N." Lily smiled and waved

After smiling and waving back Mary and Marlene called her over to the girl's dormitories. While Y/n shared a dorm with Mary Marlene and Lily, James, Sirius, Remus and Peter were just across from them. James had begged both Mcgonagall and Dumbledore to have the rooms close together, which seemed annoying at first but they all got used to it eventually.

"I'm going to go see them." Y/n smiled at the boys before running after the girls

"Bye, Vix!" All four of them called over to her before she walked upstairs

Once Y/n walked into the dorm, she saw the three girls staring at her with suspicion. Mary was holding a book on animals and Lily had her wand out.

"What's wrong, guys?" Y/n asked

"Y/n, why does the nickname the boys face you mean fox?" Marlene asked

"And why do you sneak out every full moon?" Lily added on

"Are you a werew-?!" Mary began but Y/n covered her mouth to shush her. She fell silent and stepped backwards.

"No. And, please, can you be quiet about it." Y/n hissed

Mary nodded and then a smile spread its way across her face. But Y/n knew they would keep bugging her until she explained the situation.

"Do you promise not to tell anyone?"

The three girls looked at each other with serious faces before nodding with smiles.

"Ok." Y/n started. She explained how she was an animagus and her form was a fox. How her nickname was a shorter version of 'Vixen' meaning female fox. She said that she had to leave on full moons because of some Astronomy work. But she left out certain bits.

Lily, Mary and Marlene stared at Y/n in shock before smiling.

"In all of our years of being friends no type of our gossip has been this good!" Lily leaned forward and hugged Y/n

"Wait. It's a full moon tonight." Marlene realised, her smile fading

"Ah, shit. And I have patrol!" Y/n groaned, rubbing her temples

"The moon will rise in an hour, so you have till then. And we won't tell anyone about you." Lily reassured Y/n, ushering her out the door.

This caused Y/n to bump into Remus in the corridor. He turned to face her and smiled warmly. His hands were in his pockets and his beige jumper's sleeves were rolled up to his elbows as he read a book.

"Why aren't you inside your dorm?" Y/n asked

Remus sighed and opened the door, just to see James and Sirius singing together, extremely high-pitched and out of tune, while Peter was in Wormtail's form sitting on his bed.

"Oh, yeah. I'm sorry about that." Y/n chuckling, knowing it wasn't her fault

She then walked off towards the great hall, where she planned on meeting Regulus later this evening.

Y/n walked over to the great hall to see that Regulus was already there. He was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and hair falling in front of his face. His grey eyes where open and facing the ground while he was frowning. She knew he heard her foot steps.

"You finally showed up." His frown turned into a slight crooked smirk; just like Sirius'

Y/n rolled her eyes before following Regulus out the great hall and down the corridor. She followed next to him, and it was quiet. Too quiet. Y/n felt like the silence had to be broken. Regulus put his hand on Y/n's chest to stop her from walking forward.

"Let go of me, Black." Y/n stepped back

"It's Peeves." Regulus muttered

At the end of the corridor, Peeves was flying around, he clearly hadn't noticed the two at the other end.

"He's planning something." Regulus sighed

And he couldn't have been more right. He grabbed onto Y/n and pulled her into a broom closet when seeing Peeves send a smoke down the corridor.

"I can handle myself!" Y/n pushed him away, causing him to slightly hit the shelves behind him

"You hadn't even noticed Peeves until I pointed him out." Regulus argued

Y/n rolled her eyes and walked out the broom closet. "I need some air." Then she walked out the double doors to the castle grounds.

A howl came from outside just as Regulus walked over to her.

"What was that?" Regulus asked

"Get back inside." Y/n told him, pushing him inside

Y/n turned around to see if Moony was there, but that was a mistake because he was right behind her. Moony raised his paw and pounced at her, cutting her cheek. The claws of the paw pierced through her skin, leaving three deep cuts just below her eye. Before she knew it, she was being pulled inside by Regulus.

"You need to get cleaned up." Regulus mumbled, his hand lightly grazing her cheek

"I'll be okay." She mumbled

Regulus clearly didn't believe her well until Y/n walked away. She got to the common room and went straight to the boys room. Luckily there was no one in the main room so she could walk through without anyone questioning the blood.
