Chapter 42

"Peter Pettigrew!" Y/N yelled, "And he's in this room! Right now!"

"Come out, Come out, Peter!" Sirius called out

Snape snuck over and pushed past Regulus.

"Expelliarmus!" Snape shot the spell at Sirius

The wand was knocked out his hand. Snape began to talk for a while and Y/N got fed up with him.

"Severus. Leave this place before I send you to where Lily is." Y/N warned him

He didn't have time to leave before Harry shot him into a wall.

"You attacked a teacher!" Hermione pointed out

"Don't act like you haven't done the same, Hermione." Y/N rolled their eyes

"Tell me about Peter Pettigrew." Harry pointed the wand at Remus

"He was at school with us. We thought he was our friend!" Remus explained

"No. Pettigrew's dead. You killed him." He pointed the wand at Sirius

"No he didn't!" Y/N stepped in the way

"I thought so too. Until you mentioned seeing Pettigrew on the map!" Remus said

"The map was lying, then!" Harry shook his head

"The map never lies!" Y/N snapped, "Pettigrew's alive!"

"And he's right there." Sirius pointed to Ron

Ron's eyes widened in shock.

"Me?! He's mental!" Ron cried

"Not you! Your rat!" Sirius said

"Scabbers has been in my family for—" Ron started

"Twelve years." Y/N finished

Sirius stepped forward.

"Curiously long life for a common garden rat!" Sirius said

Regulus's walked over to Y/N.

"Y/N, we don't have much time!" He whispered into their ear

Y/N knew they needed to wrap it all up. Sirius snatched Scabbers from Ron and threw him at Y/N, who put him on the piano. Remus, Sirius and Y/N began to shoot spells at Scabbers. Regulus walked over to the trio. Peter transformed back.

"Remus? Sirius? Y/N? My old friends!" Peter smiled at them

He tried to push past them but Sirius and Remus pushed him back.

"Harry! Look at you. You look so much like your father!" Peter walked over to Harry

Y/N walked in front of Harry,

"Y/N?" Peter frowned, "Don't you remember? We were best of friends! Me, You, Remus, Sirius, James-"

"How dare you speak to Harry and Y/N like that!" Sirius pulled him away, "How dare you talk about James in front of them both

Peter ran behind the piano. Y/N stumbled back. Regulus's helped them with their balance.

"Then, the dementors can have you." Y/N heard Harry say

Everyone began to walk back through the Whomping Willow.

"This needs to be done quickly." Y/N told Sirius

"Shit. It's a full moon, isn't it?" Sirius groaned, "Sorry about all this, V."

"What's going on?" Ron asked, "And why are you calling them 'V'?"

Y/N walked ahead and out of the tunnel see the moon covered by clouds.

"We have little time! The sooner we get him to the castle the sooner we can get you-know-what done!" Y/N called into the tunnel

Everyone climbed out and took a quick stop. Y/N looked up at the clouds and moon.

"Remus." Y/N walked over to him

"It's going to be ok, Y/N." Remus reassured them

"No, no, no! It's my first time and everyone's going to see!" Y/N cried

"Ok. Go into the woods over there. I'll come see you soon." Remus told them

They nodded and ran into the woods. Everything was dark. The moon peeked out over the clouds and shon on Y/N. They heard a howl from where the group was and instantly knew it was from Remus.

Y/N felt an excruciating pain flow over them. They buckled over and cried out. When they called out for help, there was no noise. Claws grew and many more things appeared. By now, they felt like they had no control over their body.

"Long time no see." They recognised the voice

Tom Riddle.

"So, you're a werewolf now?" Tom smirked, "How do you feel?"

"Remus said he'd come find me before the transformation." Y/N and ignored him

Y/N looked over and saw a black dog get thrown flew the air.

"You can't get control, unless you join me." Tom said

"Not a chance." Y/N shook their head

They concentrated extremely hard and felt the relief of being in their body once again. Y/N was a werewolf! After taking in what just happened, they ran to the direction the dog was thrown.

Sirius was laying on the ground, next to a lake. Y/N ran over to him but was shot away by Harry.

"Stay away from him!" Harry yelled

They backed away and saw Hermione, Harry and Y/N. But, it was the same ones that were hiding a few hours ago.

"Homorphus." The other Y/N shot the spell at Y/N

Y/N transformed back into their human self and collapsed to the floor. Everything hurt. Luckily, the other Hermione and Harry weren't watching so they didn't see Y/N transform back.

"Run. Go to Harry and Sirius." Other Y/N told them

Y/N ran over to Harry and Sirius. Dementors began to fly down and suck Sirius' soul out of his body.

"Expecto Patronum!" Harry shot at the dementors

Y/N was about to shoot the same spell but their soul started to be sucked out of their body as well. They fell to the floor, next to Sirius. He laid, still, unmoving.

Y/N lost felling in their body, as if they were dying. There was a bright light and it was the last thing they saw before passing out. They heard voices around them. Sirius'. Harry's. Ron's. Hermione's. Pomfrey's. And many more that couldn't be made out. They tried to say something but every time they opened their mouth, nothing could be heard.

"Y/N! Please wake up!" Harry pleaded

Y/N managed to open their eyes and look around. They were in the hospital wing.
