Chapter 79

Y/N and Regulus decided that it was best if they stayed somewhere else, somewhere hidden. So they chose the Potter Manor but said they were hiding out at Hogwarts. Soon, they went to visit Hogwarts and found the Golden trio was already there.

"Harry!" Y/N ran and hugged him

"I asked where you were. They said that you weren't here." Harry hugged her back

"I had things to do." Y/N slightly lied

"We need to find something. It's a Horcurux." Harry told her, "It's connected to Rowena Ravenclaw but I don't know what."

"That's not much to go off of." Regulus crossed his arms

Harry nodded.

"The lost diadem of Ravenclaw." Y/N realised

"Just like we told Luna, it's been lost for centuries." Cho spoke up

"Trust Luna. For once!" Regulus sighed, "She knows what she's talking about and she gets that from her mother."

Y/N sighed and looked at Regulus then at Harry.

"Regulus, we need to go and get everything ready." Y/N told Regulus

"Ready for what?" Harry asked

"You'll see."

And with that, Y/N and Regulus disappeared.

Students were running around while the professors walked outside. Neville and Seamus were beside McGonagall and Flitwick.

"Let me get this straight, Professor." Neville asked as he tried to wrap his head around it all, "You're actually giving us permission to do this?"

"That is correct, Longbottom." McGonagall nodded

"To blow it up? Boom?"

"Boom!" McGonagall replied

"Wicked." He smiled, "But how on earth are we going to do that?"

"Why don't you confer with Mr. Finnigan?" She asked, "As I recall, he has a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics."

"I can bring it down." Seamus smiled widely

"That's the spirit." Mcgonagall kept her eyes on the gate of the castle, "Now away you go."

The kids ran off while Molly and Flitwick walked closer to Mcgonagall.

"You do realise, of course, we can't keep out You-Know-Who indefinitely." Flitwick told her

"That doesn't mean we can't delay him." McGonagall said

Y/N ran up to McGonagall.

"Y/N, you're back." McGonagall smiled

"Yes. And I have a plan. I've had this plan for the past few years and every has led up to it." Y/N nodded, "Do you trust me?"

"Always." McGonagall nodded

"Good." Y/N smiled, "Create a barrier around the school, to weaken him. The elder wand doesn't belong to him yet so it will slowly break him from the inside the more he uses it. It's just a matter of time until he realises."

She nodded again. Y/N looked at a tower of the castle before running inside. While everyone was on the ground, some people were up at towers. Regulus was with Remus, Tonks and some others.

"Protego Maxima. Fianto Duri. Repello Inimicum." Regulus chanted a spell as he pointed his wand at the sky

Many spells from the Death Eaters were shot at the barrier that had formed around the castle.

"It is the quality of one's conviction that determines success not the number of followers." Remus told Kingsley

"Who said that?" Kingsley asked

"Me." Remus recalled

A younger Y/N stood in front of a bunch of Slytherins that were older than her. They were laughing, at her. A younger Remus was next to Y/N.

"It's the quality of one's conviction that determines success not the amount of followers." The young Remus whispered into her ear

She smiled.

Fred and George stood on a balcony, looking out at the scene below them.

"You ok, Freddie?" George asked

"Yeah." Fred nodded

George smiled and looked at him.

"Me too." George nudged him slightly

Y/N ran onto the balcony and looked over.

"Have you seen a stag anywhere? Or maybe a black dog?" Y/N smiled innocently

"Downstairs, a stag." George told her

"Thanks."

She ran off the balcony and down the stairs.

"You can't win this. The war started too long ago." Tom Riddle's voice ran through Y/N's ears, "You can never-."

It stopped. Y/N no longer felt his presence in her head anymore. That's when she realised, that only two more Horcuruxs had to be destroyed. A black dog ran past a few students and then over to Y/N; it was Padfoot.

"You can't be spotted. It will ruin the plan." Y/N hissed, "Find Prongs and reunite with Moony and Lily."

Padfoot nodded and ran off. The castle shook as the barrier broke.
