Is it love? [Regulus x Reader]

Chapter 10

A month or so had passed, it was the last class of the day it was nearly Christmas break! Every year the boys would come over and act like complete idiots while me and my mother would try to calm them down. I was sitting in potions class next to Lily when we were told about an assignment by Professor Slughorn.

"You need to use then next few weeks of school to make an amortentia potion with a partner." He announced, "You will have to research outside of class and work on the potion in class."

Smiles spread across some of the students faces as they looked at their boyfriends, girlfriends or crushes

"I will be choosing the parters." Slughorn added

All the smiles tuned into groans and frowns.

"Dorcas Meadows and Peter Pettigrew. James Potter and Regulus Black."

James and Regulus eyed each other from across the room.

"Y/N Potter and Sirius Black." He continued, "Remus Lupin and Evan Rosier. Pandora Lestrange and Barty Crouch Jr."

Professor Slughorn read through the whole class, partnered them all up and then proceeded to tell everyone to sit by their partners. Luckily, I was already next to Sirius.

"Save me." James wined before going to Regulus and sitting down

Regulus looked at me, then at Sirius and then at James. Once everyone was in their seats the lesson properly started.

"What do you know about the Amotentia potion?" Sirius asked me while balancing a pencil between his nose and mouth

"It can make you obsessed with someone and, or show you through smell who your soulmate is." I answered while flicking through a book

"Do you think I'll get Moony?" Sirius started to pay attention more

"If you work hard enough then maybe." I looked up at him and smirked

Sirius gasped and then helped get to work. By the end of the lesson we had a quarter of the potion ready.

"Well done Miss Potter and Mr Black." Slughorn inspected the potion, "Ten points to Gryffindor!"

He then walked away to look at everyone

"What now?" Sirius laid back in his chair

"I'm packing my things up to go." I smiled at him

"Oh right!" He then did the same

We walked out the class room with everyone else and I started to head to the room of requirements.

"Why won't you spend time with us anymore Vix?" Sirius wined as he put on a pout

"I hug out with you yesterday Pads!" I wined back

""Just tell me where you're going."

"Fine. Library or room of requirements." I gave in

"Thanks Vix." He walked away

I was left along in the corridor until Barty and another guy came over to me.

"Hey lil Potter!"  Barty messed my hair up

"Hey Barty." I sighed, "Who's this?"

"I'm Evans." The guy spoke, "Are your really dating-"

I quickly covered his mouth before he could finish the question.

"Not here!" I hissed, "Let's go to the room of requirements."

We headed off to the room of requirements to see Pandora and Lily talking.
