Is it love? [Regulus x Reader]

Chapter 12.

My mind raced as I took in what I had just seen. Regulus had the same shocked face as I did, maybe worse.

"Y/N. Let me explain." He managed to say

Barty and Evan took a few steps back to give us space.

"What is there to explain?" I snapped, "I know what I saw. You allowed it! Willingly!"

"Just let me explain." He stepped forward

"Just leave me alone." I ran out the room

The slytherin doors opened easily so I was able to slip out without anyone knowing. I ran until I reached the Gryffindor common room. A few voices could be heard inside, I entered to see Lily, Mary and Marlene on the sofa.

"Y/N!" Lily ran to me and hugged me

I was still shocked so I couldn't hug her back.

"What's wrong?" Mary stood up

"I can't. Too much. Regulus." I managed to mutter

"Sit down Y/N." Lily lead me over to the sofa

"What time is it?" I asked

"It's 2am. Luckily, there's no school tomorrow." Marlene sighed

"The boys would be back around now." I murmured

As if on cue, James and Peter walked into the common room to see me.

"I thought you were in the room of requirements." James spoke

I couldn't even say anything, all I could do was let the tears that I was holding in roll down my face. James and Peter looked worried and finally came to sit by us.

"What happened?" James asked Lily

"We're not sure. She walked in with a panicked look on her face and just said, and I quote, 'I cant. Too much. Regulus'." She answered

"I'm gonna kill him for what ever he did." James went to stand up but Lily pulled him back down

We all spoke for a while as they all tried to comfort me but I wouldn't speak.

"Do you. Still hate me Prongs?" I finally spoke

"Y/N." James sighed before pulling me into a hug, "I never hated you." He whispered into my hair

Sirius walked in with a small smile on his face but it quickly disappeared because of the scene in front of him.

"Y/N?" He spoke softly

His face looked too much like Regulus'.

"Where is Moony?" I asked, nearly whispering

"Still in the Hospital wing." Sirius slightly chuckled

I rested my head on Lily's shoulder, who was next to me, and closed my eyes.

"So what happened with you Y/N?" Sirius walked over and sat down

"I believe the exact words were 'I can't. Too much. Regulus'." Peter repeated

"You focus on boys too much." Mary announced, "Focus on girls."

Part of the group agreed with her and part of the group disagreed.

"Thanks Mary." I smiled at her

"No problem bestie!" She smiled

"Has everyone got their bags packed?" Marlene reminded all of us

"Oh shit!" I exclaimed

I quickly stood up and ran to my room to pack. All my thins floated into my case and I closed it in time.

"Let's go Y/N!" Remus called from the door

"Coming." I brought my things

We got onto the Hogwarts express and once we found a cart we sat down. I sat by the door, James sat next to me, Peter sat by the window and across from James, while Remus and Sirius sat next to Peter. Multiple people walked past the door until one person stopped and opened the door.

"Barty?!" I yelled

"Y/N. You need to come with me." He had a worrying expression plastered over his face

"What happened?" I stood up

"He's not doing too good." Barty tried to calm down

"Who? Regulus?!" I thought for a moment

Barty grabbed my hand and pulled me into another cart. Regulus sat with his head on the window and wouldn't face the door, Evan sat across from him, and Pandora sat next to him. Pandora had her hand on his shoulder.

"Reggie please." She shook his shoulder, "Y/N?" she looked up at me

Hearing my name, Regulus turned away from the window and looked me. He had bags under his eyes

"What happened?" I asked Pandora

I couldn't even look at Regulus. Pandora didn't answer.

"He won't sleep or anything." Evan butted in

"And you called me?" I turned to him

"Your his girlfriend." Barty spoke

"I can't deal with this right now." I tried to walk out but Barty blocked the door

"Please Y/N." He begged

I stared at him until I responded, "I need time to process what I saw."

Before any of them could say anything I pushed past Barty and walked out. Tears waited in my eyes but I didn't let them fall. I arrived at the Marauders cart to see them all joking and being happy. Remus turned his head and saw me.

"You coming in or not?" He asked with a smile on his face

I sat down in my seat and the train continued. My mind raced with what I had found out, what Regulus felt about before; I felt terrible! After a few hours, the train stopped and we all got off. My eyes met Regulus' but I looked away and found James and Sirius with our parents. I walked over to them and we left to go home.

(At home)

Once we arrived I flopped onto the sofa.

"You lazy-" James tried to say but got hit on the back of the head by Euphemia

"I just went through something dramatic. Let me be dramatic and flop onto the sofa!" I smiled

James rolled his eyes and him and Sirius went to their rooms.

"Go unpack Y/N." Feamont sighed

I grabbed my things and walked into my room. An owl stood outside my window so I opened it to see a letter. It had a extremely dark green cover and the Black family crest. I opened the letter to read it.

Dear Y/N,

You'll probably end up throwing his away before you get it but I need to talk to you. I never wanted it and I wanted to tell you that but with your outburst I couldn't tell you.

Write back to me if you want to hear or if you even opened the letter.

My smile disappeared as I put the letter back and onto my desk.
