Chapter 81

(Getting close to the end! But I do have a twist that might make it a bit longer)

Neville walked outside and picked up the sorting hat. He looked around and saw the Death Eaters approaching. Hagrid was with them, chained up and had someone in is arms. Everyone made their way outside to see what was happening. Y/N and Regulus walked to the side where most of the rubble was.

"Who is that Hagrid's carrying?" Ginny asked, "Neville, who is it?"

"Harry Potter is dead!" Voldemort announced

"No! No!" Ginny cried out

Arthur had to hold Ginny back. Regulus' and Y/N's eyes widened. Y/N looked to the side near to them and noticed a red head. More specifically, Lily Potter.

"Harry Potter is dead." Voldemort said, "From this day forth, you put your faith in me."

Voldemort turned back to his followers and yelled once more about Harry's death. All the Death Eaters laughed, well, most of them.

"And now is the time to declare yourself." Voldemort said, "Come forward and join us. Or die."

No one stepped forward.

"Draco." Lucius hissed

Everyone looked over at Draco Malfoy.

"Draco." Narcissa said softly, "Come."

Draco slowly walked to the side of Evil and was given a cold embrace by the Dark Lord. Neville looked over to Y/N, and she nodded to him. Narcissa noticed this small detail and smiled. She knew something was up. Neville stepped forward.

"Well, I must say I'd hoped for better." Voldemort sighed

Death Eaters laughed.

"And who might you be, young man?" Voldemort asked

"Neville Longbottom." Neville replied

The Death Eaters laughed once more.

"Well, Neville, I'm sure we can fine a place for you in our ranks." Voldemort decided

"I'd like to say something." Neville decided

"He's going of script. This isn't what's supposed to happen." Y/N whispered to Regulus

"Let him talk." Regulus whispered back

"Well, Neville, I'm sure we'd all be fascinated to hear what you have to say." Voldemort replied

Neville paused for a moment.

"It doesn't matter that Harry's gone." Neville began

"Stand down, Neville." Seamus said

Lily, James, Remus and Sirius watched from afar.

"What's Longbottom doing?" James asked

Neville continued with his little speech.

"We lost Harry tonight. But he's still with us, in here." Neville pointed to his heart, "So is Fred, and Remus, Tonks. All of them."

"Sweet." Lily smiled

Neville shook his head as he continued. Y/N walked over to Neville's side.

"They didn't die in vain." Neville looked over at Voldemort, "But you will! Because you're wrong! Harry's heart did beat for us! For all of us! This is not over!"

He pulled the sword of Gryffindor from the sorting hat. Lily, James, Remus and Sirius appeared beside Neville and Y/N. Harry jumped out of Hagrid's arms.

"Confringo!" Harry shot a spell at Nagini

He ran through a part of the castle. Voldemort shot a spell at Harry.

"Bombardo maxima!" Sirius shot a spell at Voldemort

Death Eaters began to disappear and Voldemort chased after Harry. Remus and Sirius went to chase after them but Y/N stopped them.

"Wait, Lily and James should follow. They can give Harry the motivation and help that he needs." Y/N told them all

Lily and James nodded then ran after Voldemort and Harry.

"And we need to find the snake. If we kill the snake, then Voldemort is gone. And this will be over." Y/N said

Everyone split up in search of the snake, Voldemort and Harry.
