Chapter 25

The group ran up to Mcgonagall's desk.

"We have to see professor Dumbledore. Immediately!" Harry yelled

"I'm afraid Professor Dumbledore is not here." Mcgonagall shook her head, "He received an urgent owl from the Ministry of Magic and left."

"He's gone?!" Y/N wined, "Minnie, this is important!"

"This is about the Philosopher's Stone." Harry added

Mcgonagall's eyes widened at what he said.

"Someone's going to try and steal it!" Harry continued

"I don't know how you four found out about the stone, but I assure you it is well protected." Mcgonagall denied him, "Now, would you go back to your dormitories? Quietly."

Harry, Ron and Hermione walked off but Y/N stayed.

"You need to go Y/N." Mcgonagall went back to writing

"Minnie, we both know why I'm here. Quit the act and at least tell me something about it! I've missed many years. I've found out many of my friends died! Give me some information otherwise you're the one helping Voldemort!" Y/N cried

She put down her quill.

"Chess." She spoke, "My huge chessboard. Only you have beaten me at it so stick with those three."

Y/N smiled and ran after the others. The group stopped in the middle of the hall.

"That was no stranger Hagrid met. It was Snape." Harry said, "Which means he knows how to get past Fluffy."

"And with Dumbledore gone-" Hermione started

"Good afternoon." Snape walked over

Snape glared daggers into Y/N and then looked at Harry.

"Now what would 4young Gryffindors, such as yourselves, be doing inside on a day like this?" Snape asked

"Uh..." Hermione stuttered, "We we're just..."

"You 'ought to be careful." He interrupted her, "People will think you're-"

He frowned after looking at Harry.

"Up to something." He finished

"Fuck off Snivellius." Y/N whispered

Snape heard that.

"40points from Gryffindor. Half an hour dtention in my office, 5 minutes, Miss Weasley." Snape walked off

"What was that for Y/N!" Ron groaned

Hermione looked over at the group.

"Now what do we do?" She asked

"We go down to the trap door. Tonight." Harry decided

"I guess I should go to my detention now." Y/N walked off

They arrived in Snape's office. He sat at his desk marking papers.

"I'm here Snivellius." Y/N crossed their arms

"How are you here, Potter? Didn't you go missing?" He put down his quill

"Time turner and pollyjuice potion. So, you're a teacher now." They stood in front of the desk, "What happens in your detentions? I'm so used to Slughorn making us clean up."

Snape stayed silent and continued with his work.

"Listen. I've been gone, to you all, for well over 11years. Explain what has happened over the years." They sat down

"You won't like it."

"Try me."

He sighed heavily.

"James and Lily got married and had a son, Harry Potter, then went into hiding. Sirius betrayed them by telling Voldemort where they were hiding. Voldemort killed James and Lily but Harry survived." He explained, "Peter confronted Sirius but was murdered. Sirius is now serving in Azkaban for the rest of his life."

"Ok. What about Remus? Regulus? Everyone else?" Y/N asked

"Remus is 'living his life' as people say. Everyone else is either dead or the same as Remus. Regulus, how do I tell you this?" He sighed, "Regulus drowned serving The Dark Lord."

Y/N's eyes widened.

"Just because he got the dark mark doesn't mean you need to say that!" Y/N stood up, "He would never serve Voldemort!"

Snape tried to calm them down. They stormed out the room and to their common room. Y/N calmed down a bit and started to write a letter.

Dear Molly,

I haven't written to you yet but I think it's time I do. I need answers. Severus is saying Regulus drowned serving Voldemort. It can't be true. Please tell me it isn't true.

They have the letter to Owlen, who flew off straight away. Hermionie knocked on the door and said it was time.

"Let's go." Y/N nodded

The group ran down the stairs to the common room to see a toad.

"Trevor." Harry spoke

"Trevor, go! You shouldn't be here!" Ron hissed

"Neither should you." Neville popped out, "You're sneaking out again, aren't you?"

Neville stood in front of the group.

"Neville, listen. We were-" Harry tried to explain

"No!" He stopped him, "I won't let you! You'll get Gryffindor into trouble again." Neville pulled his hands up into fists, "I-I'll fight you."

"Neville, I'm really sorry about this." Y/N pulled up their wand, "Petrificus Totalus."

He froze and fell to the floor.

"You're a little scary sometimes,you know that?" Ron gulped as Y/N put their wand away, "Brilliant, but scary."

"Let's just go." Harry walked out the door

They all walked to the third floor using the invisibility cloak.

"Alohomora." Hermionie unlocked the door

There was a harp playing and Fluffy sleeping.

"Wait a minute. He's..." Ron whipped the cloak of them all, "Snoring."

"Snake's already been here. He's put a spell on the harp." Harry groaned

Everyone moved Fluffy's paw and entered through the trap door. The harp stopped playing and Fluffy woke up. They all jumped into the trap door and landed in a plant.

"Woah." Ron exhaled, "Lucky this plant thing's here, really."

The plant started to attack the group. It attached itself onto the group. Harry and Ron kept fidgeting to try and get the plant off.

"Stop moving, both of you!" Y/N ordered

"This is Devil's Snare." Hermionie realized, "You have to relax. If you don't, it will only kill you faster."

"Kill us faster?!" Ron shrieked, "Oh, now I can relax!"

Y/N and Hermionie stayed still and immediately sunk through the plant.

"Y/N! Hermionie!" They boys yelled

"Now what are we gonna do?!" Ron started to shift more

"Just relax!" Hermionie called up

"Where are you?" Harry asked

"Do what we say! Trust us!" Y/N yelled
