Zoro seemed to be having some slight trouble with Mr. 8's shot gun trombone, the man also had guns lodged into his hair. Miss Wednesday called her duck Karoo who couldn't follow some of her instructions. She was thrown to the other side crashing before she could even touch the swordsman, Miss Wednesday returned with a sword to Luffy's neck, threatening the boy's life.
That's where you drew the line and stood up to intervene with whatever was happening, as you were walking to the bluenette an explosion came from the far end with two individuals walking out. It was a man with glasses and a lady with an umbrella, devil fruit users probably.
"Mr. 5 and Miss Valentine." Ooh, so this pair was ranked higher. Mr.9 was under the impression that these were reinforcements sent to help with the situation but it was actually an assassination job they were on.
"We are here to eliminate some VIPs that snuck into baroque works from the Alabasta Kingdom and found out the boss' secrets." Mr. 8, the mayor, quickly changed positions standing in front of Miss Wednesday to protect her.
"I will not let you touch the princess. Vivi-sama! Get out of here." Shots came flying from his hair, while Miss Valentine floated up to the sky, her companion was nowhere to be seen. Vivi got on Karoo and the duck sped off, Mr.5 walked out of the now settling dust unharmed, he flicked a booger to Igaram which exploded. It was definitely time to get Luffy and go.
Mr. 9 even tried to protect the Vivi girl but got beaten up. You rolled Luffy back into the room where he was sleeping as it was the safest option currently. Together with Zoro you were going to get the rest of the crew and leave, in the middle of walking Igaram held Zoro's leg and began to beg.
"Please protect Vivi-sama, I can't fight against devil fruit users, as the squad captain of Alabasta Kingdom I can't let anything happen to her."
"Let go of me this has nothing to do with me." Zoro tried shaking him off but man he had some strong grippers.
"I promise you will be rewarded."
Nami jumped down from one of the roofs. "How much?" She always seemed to appear whenever money is mentioned.
"I don't handle the money, you will have to discuss that with the princess."
"Okay we will help, Zoro go!"
"Eh! Why me?" He clearly didn't want to go
"Don't forget you owe me, I lent you 100,000 berries." Nami rebutted.
"Yeah, and I returned the amount on the same day."
"Yes you did but the interest was at 300% so now you owe me 200,000 berries." You were ever grateful that Shanks lent you some money before meeting up with Luffy so you didn't have to borrow Nami.
"You're an evil woman." He muttered angrily.
"Yes I know I'm going to hell. I'll end the deal if you do this." Zoro left to protect the princess and get rid of his debt. Nami asks Igaram what the organization is all about, not that you cared but it would be good to have this kind of information in case of anything.
Zoro was taking a little too long to protect the girl. You and Nami went to see what was happening only to find Zoro and Luffy in the middle of a fight. Nami walked right between them and knocked both their heads. She tried to milk out one billion berry from the princess but then girl explains how her country wasn't very wealthy. Together with Nami you elucidate to Luffy the events leading up to this point.
"Why didn't you say anything Zoro? I thought you cut them down because they made food you didn't like." Luffy was laughed at the misunderstanding.
"Don't compare me to you!"
Baroque works was an organization trying to build an ideal world but their real goal was to pull apart the country from which Vivi was a monarch.
"So who's pulling the strings?" Luffy wanted names and everything and so did you. You were already in too deep there was no avoiding it.
"I can't tell you it's too dangerous to even know the identity of Mr. 0. . . . . . . he's the warlord Crocodile." Guess she said it in the end anyway, off to the side there was a bird and an otter listening in to the conversation. "The unluckies." AFter we took notice they started going away and Nami went after, they had already drawn sketches of everyone present who would end up on a hit list. For animals they were really good at drawing they could teach Kuro and Shiro a thing or two.
"How many baroque workers are there?" Nami queried the blue haired princess. "About two thousand." The navigator deflated at that news giving up hope, once Luffy heard that it was a Shichibukai there is no changing his mind. He was determined to help Vivi.
Igaram dressed up as Vivi and carried four dummies that were supposed to be us, he would act as a decoy as we headed for Alabasta, you squeezed the dummy to see how believable it was and lightly touched Igaram's hand. There was an explosion and fire but through it all you could still hear a heartbeat.
"Hey! I need to go now." He took the dummy from your hand, he had to know, a warning if possible. "Igaram w-" You couldn't talk anymore, your mouth felt full of liquid and something else which slowly began to block the flow of air.
Igaram turned to answer your call a look of horror replaced his features, everyone else turned to see why he was so shocked. There was a small stream of blood constantly pouring out of the mouth piece of your mask and something fell out. It was dark in the night but the moon shone bright enough illuminating the piece of muscle on the ground pulsating back and forth.
You closed your mouth and started swallowing the blood back in before you died of blood loss or something along those lines. Kneeling on the ground in pain you got a good look at a piece of your tongue. Trying to speak was futile you could only let out small mumbling noises and when you did it ached so much, your throat was also affected, not a peep could be released.
"Y/n say something." Luffy was worried shaking you violently but all you could do was shake your head. Waving at Igaram to go with a point to your wrist it was enough to know that time was running out. He got on the boat and after a lot of convincing you reassured your crew that you were fine. Nami and Zoro didn't believe you but Luffy did, if you didn't have trust what did you have?
The rest of the crew left to get the others when you ran to jump into the water but it was too late. Upon the surface of the sea bright orange hues were mirrored from the burning boat that had just exploded, Igaram was hurt or maybe worse and you couldn't do anything.
You left the water and everyone ran to the ship, Luffy went to retrieve Usopp and Sanji. Vivi was adamant on looking for Karoo but the duck was already waiting at the ship and we left.
"I'm so glad we left quickly before they caught up." Nami stated relieved. "Yeah its a good thing." Someone answered but it wasn't anyone you guys knew. You all turned around to see a tanned lady with a cowboy hat on casually sitting there.
"Miss All Sunday!" Vivi said.
"And who's her partner?" .
