kindly note that the beautiful poems used in this chapter are not mine they belong to Sarah Goldney, the author of "Before I Forget to Say"- Highly recommend I love her work and found them fitting!

"Hey, I'm gonna head to Yoko's so you can write in peace. I'll come back at around 4.30ish. Will that be okay?"

Enid says as she grabs her school bag. She stands next to the door awkwardly. Wednesday stops writing and turns around.

"Yes, that will work. Do not be late."

Wednesday says her voice flat. Enid smiles seeing Wednesday stop what she was doing to reply. She usually kept writing. Maybe the girl was genuine when she said she wanted to be better

"Okay. I won't"

Enid replies with a sweet smile, Wednesday nods curtly before turning back to her typewriter. After a few seconds, she turns back to face the now fidgeting girl.

"Is something wrong?"

Wednesday asks her head tilted to the side as she examined Enid's body language. Playing with her nails, rosy cheeks, biting the inside of the cheek. lack of eye contact... Was the Lycan nervous?

"Uhh- no no, nothing's wrong"

Enid replies nervously her eyes wandering over the room, never meeting Wednesday's gaze. The Addams' girl stands up and approaches the taller girl, standing a few steps away from her

"What can I do for you, Enid?"

She asks quietly. Enid's hands start moving in the air as if she is trying to explain something, However, she lacks words. The smaller girl grabs Enid's hands and guides them downwards

"Speak"

She simply says her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. The two girls were now close to each other, Enid looks at Wednesday her eyes wide open, her whole face turning red. Her mouth was slightly open as she looked at Wednesday

"Can I have a hug before I go?"

She asks quickly. She stands still her eyes still fixed on Wednesday's face. The shorter girl fights a smile and simply spreads her arms open. Enid crushes into the other's chest, her hands snaking around the other's neck while Wednesday's hands held the blonde girl by her waist

"Why were you nervous to ask?"

Wednesday asks while the two were still locked in each other's embrace

"I know you hate touch"

Enid says, her voice muffled as her head was now buried into the crook of the other girl's neck.

"That is true. However, I do not hate your touch."

Wednesday replies as the two of them pull away, Wednesday's hands linger for a few seconds on Enid's waist before she lets them fall to her side

"We leave at 5, I shall see you then"

Wednesday says turning on her heels and sitting back at her desk. Enid stares for a few seconds, her mind processing what was just said to her. She smiles widely as she opens the door and heads to Yoko.

Thing scatters out of the drawer the second the door shuts closed. Wednesday gets up from her chair and looks over at thing

"Shall we head out?"

She asks. Thing taps excitedly on the desk making Wednesday rolls her eyes

"It is not romantic. I am simply showing my gratitude. I want her to be in a comfortable environment when I clear things up, not in some dark forest where we both almost died. Come on now"
