~Wubbox's POV~
I finally had enough one day. Air, Earth, and Ice were having a slumber party which i was invited to. I hate slumber parties with a passion—doing activities just to sleep don't peaking my interest—and i choose to try and not go to them. This time, however, i owed it to Air. Not only did he give me the critter eyes, i had caused him to get hurt badly, and i told him i would have to do one thing to pay him back for it. He used that anything pass for this event unfortunately.
The three of them were talking about recent things they had been doing with the other Celestials—which was very interesting when i did not have an monster to go along with me.
But, as time went on there, i felt left out. I didn't want to be here and kept away from them to avoid talking, but they always found a way to me.
Night was my best friend. I would go out as soon as the moon graced the sky, and sit. I stood up, just a few steps to the door.
"Wubbox, where are you going?" Air asked me."Just..outside. I'll be back in a second, ok?"
"Ok. Please come back."
I turned to close the door behind me, walking out and to my regular spot by the tree.Below our platform, i could see something through the clouds. Light.
Our island was the only one above the clouds, and would frequently circle around the border of the islands.I was old enough. I knew what i had to. I stood up after a hard, long look at it, and turned back around—facing the one thing that stood between me and freedom from this hellscape.
I walked over, not fearing what ever would happen to me. If i died, so be it.
They were stupid to have let the book out right next to it. They left it because they didn't think we wouldn't know how to use it, but little observant me knew just how to.I took the book in my hands. Weirdly, the instructions were on the first page as well; so even if we found the book, we wouldn't have to try to figure it out. Turn to your desired page, read the signal out loud, and walk through the light.
Simple enough. I took in a deep breath, flipping until i saw the island below us—Fire haven. We had crossed it many times before, but i knew i had to see it. It was so attention grabbing to me, but no one else saw it that way—not even Furnoss. Something about the island just refused to leave me, like a spiritual calling.
I had to use the portal because they were located in a volcano—which i find strange.
"Fire Haven, closest to the Living Core." I read out loud.As if on command, the portal began to glow a light cyan blue. It got brighter, i closed the book and took a step back. The teleporter began to hum, and i could just hear a faint, beautiful song ring through. I closed my eyes, bracing myself for whatever i would see on the other side.
With a zap, i opened my eyes and saw blue for just a moment, then quickly appearing at a new island.
Immediately, i saw orange, and a great small town in front of me. I didn't know what a town was, but i would learn later on.There was a dark figure ahead of me—his chest was open with bars like an oven revealing a burning yellow core, molten lava for feet with a metal arch in front, no eye color, pipes at the top of his head, and a thin tail with colors similar to fire. He quickly closed his book to look at me, opening his mouth to speak, but stopped once he got a good look at me.
