Wubbox had been quite fine recently. His first five were doing good, and they were behaving as good as he had. Well, mostly. Brump and Poewk were peaceful, Thwok and Zynth were chaotic, and Dwumrohl was neutral—he'd not fight unless provoked.
Thwok and Zynth would constantly roughhouse and hurt each other. It was all in good fun, sure, but sometimes they took it too far, and caused and actual fight, which Wubbox would have to break up and scold them for.
It only happened two time so far, so it seemed to have been getting better.
When they first came to life, they seemed a bit different than he imagined. Instead of being the same shape, they seemed a it younger than he initially planned. They were also younger mentally, but developed as quickly as any other monster that existed. They learned language and speech, walking, emotions and similar concepts, and what they wanted to learn, but couldn't.
Brump was calm and talkative, Poewk was quiet and delicate, Zynth was sassy and annoying, Thwok was uptight and sensitive, and Dwumrohl was Kind and Quiet.
Wubbox wrote down his first few days with them in a new notebook. They were all mostly the same except for Thwok. Thwok seemed similar to him—shy, slow, and irritable. Even at his young age, he seemed upset with how he looked, and sacred others would think he was weird for looking different to any monster. He didn't like anything about himself, which was awful to see in a kid so young, especially in a kid who had never been outside the island. It hurt Wubbox to see him like that, and he had to constantly reassure him nobody would care. It was irritating after a while, and Wubbox struggled to hold back yelling at him and saying, 'get over yourself and stop being insecure.' But he sucked it up and eventually got Thwok to calm down, and see his siblings without crying.
Now, he was working on two more monsters, Zuuker and Tympa. Zuuker had a kind of kazoo sound, and Tympa had a snare-drum sound with his pointed hands.
He would only do one or two at a time. Having to handle five kids at once seemed like a nightmare, so he only had one or two at a time before starting a new one or two.
He tried to devote his time to talking with the kids he had, but he found it draining after time to handle all five, so he started locking his office and working in silence with the help of Wublin. If any of them tried to talk to him while he was working, he would yell at them, and they would leave. He didn't about think what this would do to them in the future. He would soon find out, not too long later.
