[Chapter 12.5]

"H-Hey Fire!" Wubbox spoke as he quietly opened the front door to Fire's apartment.

"Wubbox? I didn't think you'd been here so early! I would have totally cleaned up earlier, I'm so sorry."

"It's completely fine! I didn't know i'd be here so early either. Just... i couldn't stay there..." He stepped into the room, closing the door behind him quickly.

"Did she do something to you??"

"Mm..well..i can't really say unless i explain the whole thing..but, i don't feel like talking about it right now, ok? All i'll say is she got violent and i had to leave before it got worse."

"Did your brothers help you out?"

"For once, yeah. The others held her back while Air got me out of there. Sometimes I'm glad i have brothers, even if they can be annoying."

"Well, why don't you get your things out and i'll get this place a bit cleaner, i've been needing to do it."

"Alright."
Fire got up from the couch, and moved over to the kitchen. As he started, Wubbox walked over and sat his bag down by the couch, then walked over to the other side of the counter.
"Are you planning on doing anything tonight?" Wubbox asked.

"No, i don't got much going on. And i don't have work tomorrow, so if you wanna do something we can."

"Well..what do you usually do?"

"At night sometimes, i just take a walk around forest and fields. Just a weird fun thing i do sometimes."

"We could do that together! Sounds fun despite being unable to see."

"Yeah, sure! We can do that when i'm done with this."
Wubbox nodded and looked off, listening to him mess around as he waited. Fire was like no monster he had seen before.

Wubbox felt like he could trust him and tell him anything without being yelled at. They were similar yet different, and it was intriguing to him.

Once Fire finished up, They walked outside, into the cool, crisp winter night of fire haven. Wubbox didn't know such a hot place could have winter, but it did.

They quickly moved from the building, and to the bridge near the town's main road.
"It's a really cool place here, Fire!" Wubbox smiled as he looked up at him.

"I know. I'm glad i was able to be made here. No other place can compare! Especially when your here with me~"

"Aw!" Wubbox giggled, leaning onto him.

Fire put a hand up on Wubbox's shoulder, and pulled him in closer. "I promise that i will try my best to be the best i can to you. I won't get on your nerves or make you angry with me."

"Thats really nice of you." Wubbox blushed lightly, smiling with content. They kept close as they watched the street below them, cars passing by the bridge.

"Well, lets get to exploring!" Wubbox said with a bit of excitement.

"I dunno, just that...I'm not really supposed to out at this time. Kinda a curfew thing, but i'm not living with my parents."

"Curfew?"

"It's where kids and teens cam't be out past a certain time or i'll get in trouble."

"When is that?"

"About Eleven."

"Well, it's nine, so we can have about two hours of exploring, just the two of us!"

"Oh, I'm not too sure.."

"Come on. I mean, it's night and you don't have work tomorrow, right? Why not just have a bit of fun, just the two of us!"

Fire sighed in defeat. "Fine. I guess it's not gonna hurt anyone."

"Yeah! Come on, lets go!" Wubbox smiled and took his hand, and they quickly left the place, out into the moonlit fire-haven night.
