It had been some time since Fire and Wubbox's first meet, and from that very long time, eventually he and Rare left to live on Plant island as their brothers slowly started to trickle into their respective islands. The only one not on their island yet was Plant—but he seemed a bit more underdeveloped than the rest of them.
But, that didn't matter too much. Wubbox and Rare had been invited visit Scavhng on earth island. They knew he only invited them to talk with Rare and make fun of Wubbox. Though recently, Rare had mysteriously lost his voice, and refused to explain why. Either he didn't want to say why, or he couldn't. Well, he could speak sign language because he had the habit of losing his voice often or going non-verbal. Galvana got tired of trying to play charades with him, and gave him a book on sign language—Wubbox being his translator.
As soon as the portal led them to earth island, the warmth from the island hit them quickly. Looking out off the structure, it wasn't what they had thought it would be like. Instead of something like a large, industrial city with bustling people and cars, there were many buildings like bricks and wood homes with paved roads outfront, but everyone walked and some places near the middle of town were townhouses and large factory like places did exist, but everyone seemed happy with their lives there.
"I didn't expect this." Wubbox said out loud. Rare nodded in agreement.
As they stepped off the platform, they were stopped.
"Your coming with me." An Epic Clamble spoke up to them.

"Excuse me?"

"Your brother sent me to fetch you, i've waited here for nearly an hour."

"Oh..Ok."

"It's just down the way, not too far." He assured them as they began walking. They took in the sights of the island as they walked through it. A strange forest nearby—of burnt trees and redish rocks—seemed to cast a shadow from the sky that let out little bits of light from the sun.
"So, who are you?" Wubbox asked.

"Vullcan. I work as a welder. Anyways we're here."
They look up and see the small townhouse by the street which lead to a larger building.
"Wow, i guess it wasn't far."

"Thats what i said."
Vullcan took out his keys and unlocked the door, letting the two inside the home.
"Heey! You made it!" Earth exclaimed. The two did no speak as they walked in,  looking around before taking a seat. "Heh, tough crowd. I don't know what i expected, but anyways, what is up? We have a lot of catching up to do!"

"Just fine." Wubbox said, Rare nodding.

"Hmm, and why's the orange one quiet?"

"He lost his voice." He started to scowl at him at his blatant non use of Rare's name.

"Right right. And how did that happen?"
Rare looked away quietly, acting as if he was admiring the blank walls of the room. He clearly didn't even want to try and tell them.
"Must have been pretty embarrassing then!" Earth laughed slightly. "Anyways, lets cut to the chase. I called you here because we need to talk about the job for you, Orangey! Wubbox, i honestly don't know why you even came with him because this has nothing to do with you"

"Im his translator."

"Ah, that makes sense. Dumb minds think alike!" Rare looked over to him quickly with a glare as Earth laughed. "Yea yea yea, so eager to hear about it! Anyways, you read everything about it, and your absolutely sure about this?"

Rare made a motion with his hand similar to knocking. "Well great! Boss has already told me a bit about the things, just telling me to tell you that you'll never really get a break, and you'll have to work nearly all the time and you only get an hour break each day, aaaaand everything else in this letter, i could care less about it." Earth handed him the note wrapped in paper. Rare opened it and began reading it closely. As he read, some voices began to rise upon the other side of the door. It seemed like a man and lady having a quiet argument before a knock came upon the door, and a snide remark from one of them.
Vullcan came back with a more annoyed look as he opened the door. Then, Humbug had taken a small step inside for a moment while Pompom stood outside with her hands behind herself. Wubbox couldn't help but notice she looked annoyed as he looked away from her.
"Hey, uhm.. s-sorry uh..if uh..I'm bothering you..y-you-you uh.. you look busy and stuff..um..the-the..the uh.." as he spoke he looked around franticly among the others around him.

"He wants to know if he can bring his friends to the party."

"Dude, you don't have to ask that. It's obviously a yes!"

"O-oh! O-ok. Th-thanks! Um, sorry if i uh..innturuped anything." He smiled nervously as he began to walk away, and Pompom then looked as if she was suddenly happy and exited to be with him. If felt forced—as if she was trying too much to be nice to him. But, Humbug didn't seem to mind, so he left it alone. Vullcan closed the door and went back to his things in his nest.
Rare looked up to Earth, he put his hand to his face with a fist below, swaying the hand down just above the fist.
"Good-enough." He informed Earth.

"Well, great! Im glad your actually doing this. Boss said he struggles to find people to do this job, and having someone like you being more than willing to is an honor! Now i have nothing else to do with you. On you go then!"
Rare bowed his head and they got up to leave. They walked off and into the city once again as they made their way back to the portal.
"Its strange how they made him do the things instead of the boss or vice, right?"

Rare nodded, pointed to his left, put his last finger up before into a fist, moving two finger up, then pointing upwards.

"Sure, but couldn't..i dunno, anyone else have done it?"

He moved a thumbs up around in a circle near his fist which changed to a point, he pointed to his head with a fist and moved them to thumbs up, then swaying his finger to his head.

"Ok, yeah, i get it...I hate him, alright? I just..anyone else and i would have been fine."

He put his hand to his head and flapped his fingers once until down completely so the last was there.

"You know exactly why! Im not explaining this to you!" He growled angrily.
They got to the portal, and eventually, they made it back home—to the sunny day on Plant Island—no worries to be had. Yet, anyways.
Rare put his hand to his mouth before waving as he walked away.
Wubbox began to walk away to his place as well. He didn't have a "home" per se, he mostly lived in a rundown warehouse where some monster groups would gather. They would sometimes invite him in on their shenanigans, but mostly they would leave him alone. And surprisingly, he saw a few cult meetings as well. They never invited him thankfully.
As he got into the warehouse not far into the forest, he went into the main large room, and over to his small corner by his boxes of things and a small desk he had found. On the desk, a small frame of a drawing laid on. It was a drawing from Ice as he was younger and it had—originally—him, Rare, Air, Earth, and himself. Later on though, Wubbox had added Water and Plant to the picture as well. He laid his head down onto the concrete as he began to rest. The afternoon sun still peaked in from the collapsed roof, but he didn't care.
