They the Wubbox : Rewritten

[Chapter 39.5]

[note, i'm not specialized in the field of court cases, so if this is not accurate to real life court cases, take it as a part of the universe's quirk.]

The courtroom was a warm orange and brown color scheme, classic like ones seen on TV, but Humbug hoped in his mind this would not be recorded, so everyone around would be able to laugh at him, ridicule him, and never let him forget the time he was blamed for horrible things. To his left, the high-up jury stand, where many monsters he did not know from amber island sat.

They seemed restless to get started, but they would have to wait until the Judge had everything in place before they truly could begin. To his left, were empty rows of seats, where normally in civil disputes, bystanders who were not in the case sat, but it was empty, as this was a closed trial.

And to the table just on their other side, was the chief of fire haven's police force, and he knew that chief from recent posts online. He was not only the chief and a rare floogull, but had a few years of law school under his belt, so he could be his own lawyer legally.

His lawyer, a Rootitoot, sat just beside him, quietly telling him information he did not pay attention to. All he really remembered was to not speak unless he was spoken to, and he shouldn't lash out if something doesn't go his way.
Eventually, after loud chatter, the judge finally hit his gavel onto the base near his desk, calming the chaos of chatter among the jury and other monsters in the courtroom.

"Good morning, everyone," the judge started, "this is court case fifty-seven, where the defendant is being accused by law enforcement of several acts of arson, treason, and second degree kidnapping. Would the plaintiff–chief of fire haven's police department–like to speak his opening statement?"

"Yes, your honor." He laid his head down gently before standing up. "Though fire haven was not set on fire first, we have reasonable suspicion to believe that the defendant has set many of the homes, buildings, and businesses on fire. We've had many businesses close up shop, farms have thousands of dollars in damage, and severe damage to the island's economy, just as all other islands that fell victim. But while we were investigating the first fire–a motel twenty miles from the capital–we found evidence of some bug-like insect being the culprit, or some monster with vibrant green fur."

The chief thoroughly explained, keeping both hands on the desk ahead of him as he spoke. His demeanor was of confidence, and he was sure of every word he said.

"Thank you, chief. Would the plaintiff like to share their statement?" The judge bowed their head to the chief before looking over to Humbug's lawyer.

"Yes, your honor...My client has proof of being at ethereal island during the time of the fires, only visiting earth island with the poison-mech ethereal, Dragong, during that period. From account of his significant other, they were said to only have a quick visit, from around five to eight pm. And with the accusation of the kidnapping of the Bone epic wubbox, the plaintiff has never visited bone island, which is where the wubbox was found. He has only ever been on earth island, ethereal island, seasonal shanty, and plant island. And was my client not a significant part of both wars, with the celestials and the mimic? He's shown everyone nothing but kindness, and my client should not be blamed for such outrageous claims."

The jury chartered quietly in sight of the new information.
"Your honor, I would like to call witness Shivur to the stand." The chief raised his hand to speak.

One of the cops stepped back at the glance of the judge, walking back to the large courtroom doors, stepping through for a minute then bringing in Bone, or more formally, Shivur. The cop quietly told him something, then Bone walked over, passed the two tables, then over to the witness stand. Then, the chief stepped forward slightly.
