Wubbox hated socializing. It was exhausting, and terrifying. He always blamed it on never being taught about conversations and friends, and more, but it was just because he never really understood it.He didn't know how to start a conversation, how to end a conversation, he couldn't understand others perspectives when they aren't his children, doesn't know how to respond or react, and zones out often. These only heightened his fear of socializing.
And for others to assume he liked to go out partying with monsters he doesn't know, only made him angry.Summersong was happening, and he was invited to the biggest club in the monster world–also inspired by the wubbox's boxed form. The Clubbox. He loathed to do this, but he somehow willed himself up and through the portal so he could get to earth island and find it.
Outside the Clubbox, he saw Hoola speaking with rare PomPom. Once he got close, they waved him over.
"You made it! We are glad you did come, because this year's party is going to be insane!""Mhm. What do you need." Wubbox nodded, speaking with clear disinterest.
"Other than helping set up a few things, we've got something special for you."
He sighed. "Alright, let's just get it over with." He placed his hand to his eyes.
They made their way into the club, where the lights were unusually bright. He'd seen pictures of the clubbox before, but it was always dark with neon lights. Instead, it was just regular white lights, and he could see everything. The inside design was like nothing he's seen before, and it was awesome.
There was a bar by the front, and on the other side of that was a large lounge place. Then, ahead of the bar, was a dance floor, which was turned off for now. Past the dance floor, there was a DJ's table with a record shelf, and a door leading to what he could guess was either a closet, or a backroom.
On the same side of the lounge area, there were large stairs that led up to an open floor which also had a lounge place, but it would be less by the action, so they would be able to get a break. Though the place sparked awe, he didn't like the idea of thousands of monsters being squished in one giant club. It just didn't sit well with him.
"Alright, so we have some things that should be fixed up, then you can see your thoughts, and you can either go home or stay." Rare PomPom informed him.
"I doubt anything will convince me to stay here the whole night, let alone a minute." He snarled.
"Not even Fire coming? We sent him an invite, and he was the one to tell us to invite you. We...We didn't invite you because we knew you hated parties like this."
Wubbox didn't bite back at them, instead being confused as to why Fire wanted to party. They were very similar, being sensitive to loud sounds, very fixated on their interests, struggling with paying attention and keeping eye contact, struggling to stay still, and more; But specifically, he knew that clubs were usually loud–more loud than either of them could handle easily. And being out with an uncountable amount of monsters seemed like a nightmare.
He would then help them with a few things they had to fix. A few speakers, some chairs, some lights, and helped construct a tube the banner would sit in, then when they twisted it, the banner would fall out and be shown to everyone. At least he didn't have to bring his tools, so another thing he didn't have to keep track of.
