Shrimp–the newest rare wublin who was based on Astropod–had swiftly run off from the others, somehow slipping out of the sight of the older ones, and quickly dashed across the dirt, stopping just outside the largest building–Wubbox's workshop.
He always wondered what was inside here. He never got to be able to go inside, but now he was tall enough to mostly reach the doorknob. He used one of his big hands to quickly stick the claws into the ground, bringing the other hand up to grab the door knob as best he could, and trying to turn it with his slick hand. After a few seconds of scrabbling, the door slid backwards, and he opened it enough so he could slide in, then closed the door behind him as quickly, yet quietly as possible.
He then turned around, seeing the second door to his right, where he had come from in his first day or so. But, down the hall was another door he hadn't remembered being down the hall. He stretched out his arms and claws, using them to crawl across the floor and down the hall.
This door was opened to a crack, though. He could see a small light just around a corner.
He felt the curiosity intensify, so he opened the door slowly, and moved inside as quietly as he could.Wubbox brought the looped-tool across the bubblrite gently, carving each detail meticulously to make sure he didn't make an error. He used one side that was a circle-loop, and the other side not in use was more flat.
Once he was done with that, he sat that tool down, and began using a razor-like tool to begin carving smaller details into it. Each cut and line added to the piece beautifully, even if the wublin being carved was hideous. The color was a deep grey, almost blending into the wall if not for Wubbox's core lighting up the area around him
Was it...Gheegur? Its head and body was mostly similar, but its musical horns were almost wooden-like and jagged, and it had barely any fur on its arms and lower body, only a few big lines tracing unknown patterns onto it. Was this its rare version? Shrimp shouldn't be here. He'll be caught.
But almost as if his body was betraying him, his horns lit up and let out a small buzz, which instantly caught Wubbox's attention in the silent room, being almost as loud as a scream in comparison.
"Hey!" Wubbox barked as he saw him just by the corner.Shrimp tried to move away and back around the corner, but Wubbox was much faster, snatching him up by his horn with anger. "Whatever happened to not coming into my office?" He growled, his red eyes glowing in the dark, a contrast to the glowing blue orb in his chest which emitted more light.
Shrimp knew better than to talk while someone was touching him, and he knew he could get in more trouble if he did. Wubbox kept a hold on his horns, starting to drag him out of the room like a sack of fruit. Wubbox's steps were like loud banging of metal in the reverberating concrete hallway.
He opened the door, and took them both out, slowly making their way over to Screemu, who was talking to Rare Whajje. But once he noticed the angry wubbox making its way over, his neck curled in with fear. Rare Whajje stepped back nervously, not wanting to get involved in Wubbox's anger.
"Screemu," Wubbox said with a snarl and tossing Shrimp in front of him, "watch your fucking trash.""B-B-But that's...A-Astropods–" Screemu tried to explain, their raspy male voice squeaking out.
"I do not care whose it is!" Wubbox yelled back, causing Screemu to flinch and bring their hands up to protect their head. "The moment I have to go and put locks on my office door will not be a day any of you would want to remember. Do I make myself clear?"
"Y-Yes sir!" Screemu agreed with a hurried nod, moving back with fear.
Wubbox turned back around, storming off without another word. After a moment, Screemu uncoiled themselves, watching as Wubbox went back into his office, slamming the door behind him. A few other monsters around the island were looking over to the little group, mostly quiet. That was the only time Wubbox had actually come out of his office to speak to them in a while–even if to yell at them.
Screemu looked over to Shrimp, reaching out his hands to help him up.
"Are you alright, Shrimp?" Screemu asked in their lower feminine voice."Y-Yeah..." Shrimp responded, their antlers lighting up with electricity as they spoke with a buzz.
"Good." Screemu sighed, but then lifted up their claws once again to smack him. "Now how many times have I told you to never go to dad's office! I hope this will be a lesson to not go in there ever again."
"I won't..." Shrimp sighed, looking away with embarrassment.
