~With Air~

Air let his wings fall to his sides as he landed onto the island carefully. The island was mostly the same, but more trees and land were around the area.

He decided to start walking by the trees, taking an alternate route to the town in case something was there to surprise him. He expected a surprise, but not knowing when. He barely heard the chatter of wings above him as he walked, but when he did, it was too late. He looked up just in time to see some creature quickly flying down.

He tried to move out of the way, but it fell very fast, landing directly onto his plumy tail, tripping him and making him fall to the ground..

"Look at this! Fresh meat~" It chuckled, grabbing Air by his scruff and pulling him up. Air immediately noticed that this creature was like him, but much bigger than him, having fully feathered wings, having no hat and his eye discolored, a short bob tail, dark colored paws, and a sinister look in his eye.

"Never thought i'd see someone so similar to me! So tell me, how much of a pathetic wimp are you?" It laughed again, dropping him back to the ground.

Air quickly picked himself back up and took a few steps away from it. "I'm not a wimp! All I ever do is help people, isn't that good?"

"Ohh, a monster-pleaser? Hah! That'll get you nowhere, take it from me, a former loser to another."

Air didn't rebuttal, and decided to try and run off, but he was quickly grabbed again.
"Leaving without a goodbye? And we just met! Don't tell me you're chickening out!"

"I'm not! I have better things to do than stay with a bully like you!"

"Bully? I'm certainly nicer than your brothers. Do they even like you? If my brothers don't like me, yours don't like you."

"And what do you know? You're just a primal, you don't matter."
The other growled at the insult, raising its paw up enough to then quickly swipe, leaving a deep scar on his blank face. Its small bobtail shook, and it grinned wickedly, its wings slightly beating against the air.

"Such an awful word for someone like me, just a poor, unfortunate soul."

"Poor, clearly. Unfortunate, likely. But a soul? Don't make me laugh."

It growled once more, but Air was able to quickly slip away. He got just high enough to see over the trees, but its large claws soared up and caught onto his long tail. He struggled to keep in the air as he was slowly dragging down.

Eventually, a stomach-turning tear and rip was heard loudly, and Air was quickly swung into the sky, seeing the end of his tail drop to the ground with blood, and the other looking down at it before back at him with a scowl.

Air continued to fly away, passing many trees and open grass areas. He thought he lost him, feeling relieved. Once he got to the next open grassland, he started to slowly lower onto the ground.

As he did, something quickly whizzed by him, as he quickly spun back and hit the ground hard. He looked back, seeing a spear through his second and third wing part holding the spear in itself, and the ends of his wings were torn from the impact.

"I didn't say you could just leave!" The other shouted at him, walking over and taking the speaker from his wings, and dropping the end of Air's tail by his head in a taunt. "You're not better than any other monster, they'll just ignore you forever. Might as well stop trying to please them and bending over backwards to kill youself for their amusement. Where do you think everyone went? The little farm down the valley where your little critter went to? Please." He cackled.
