The thunder roared upon the thick, black clouds. With a flash so quick, able to be missed by a blink, the lighting struck the pressure point, causing the plasma celestial to be shrouded in bright light for a moment, but once revealed from that light, showed an odd form underneath it.
Despite what the initial idea was, they were shocked to see that this plasma did not carry a pair of long legs, hooved at the ends. The shield on its back now had carvings, its neck ring now began to jud out, its eyes were larger and longer. Its arms were bigger now, but still encased in the same blue protective armor like the rest of its body."Woah, Plixie!" Glaishur gasped with a smile, holding an umbrella over him, and Furnoss–who had finally come out of his room for the first time in months—other than class lessons of course, which had become less frequent as they got older.
Plixie looked down at their body, seeing the legs under them, and how they were still floating. They decided to slow their wings down, and landed on them gently. Plixie nearly squealed, spinning around with joy at the use of the once useless appendages. "I can walk now!"
"Hooray!" Glaishur cheered, bouncing slightly as well. However, Furnoss stopped him, placing a hand onto his to remind him of the fire celestial just next to him.
"Here, Plixie. We have to go now, so take this package, and open it when you get inside." Kayna handed him the cardboard box, and just under the darkness outside, he could see the address to "Plazma Celestial Plixie. From Ghazt and G'joob."
"Thank you! Goodbye, Kayna and Kayno!" Plixie waved to them, then dashing off like an insect, their wings fluttering quickly, and their legs dragging behind.
Glaishur and Furnoss eventually made their way over as well and onto the porch. The other celestials were busy at this time, so they were not present to watch. Once Furnoss and Glaishur were close enough, Plixie used their claws to cut the tape, opening it with a few snaps.
What lay inside the box? A pair of flying goggles, similar to the ones of the Air Epic Wubbox, but without the green-tinted lenses which were later custom made for his eyes.
Plixie began to bounce on his legs, once again squeaking as he took them out, and put them over his eyes without the trap, holding them up and looking around. The strange ability the glasses had were making the dark areas around him brighter, and the lighter areas either darker slightly, or just the same as before. Like night-vision, flying goggles!"Oh my gosh gosh, thank you Ghazt!!" Plixie squeaked out, still bouncing with glee at the gift. There was a letter at the bottom, which he took out, opened it quickly, and took out the paper to reveal the note inside.
"Hey, Plixie. This is G'joob, not Ghazt actually. Ghazt is pretty sick, but he asked me to write a letter for you. He's been doing well, and though his life has been pretty uneventful, it's been some of the best years he's had, and he hopes one day you two can meet up again. He got you a pair of flying goggles, which have a special night vision because he knows you're getting better at flying as you get older, and he wants you to be able to fly through any circumstances, so that you may practice at any time. We'll see you in the near future, have a great day. – G'joob and Ghazt."
Plixie shuddered, their wings buzzing as well.
"Gosh, he's the best! He got me flying goggles that I can see in the dark!" Plixie told them, still moving quickly in place."Oh sweet!" Glaishur smiled. "Now you can fly all the time!"
"Congrats, Plixie." Furnoss nodded, his hair bouncing with him.
"I gotta go show Torrt, he'll love it! I'll see you guys at dinner!" Plixie quickly dashed off into the front door, then through the halls towards their room.
Plixie was usually not as energetic as he was now, usually being a paranoid and anxious quiet monster. However, this all changed. Maybe this phenomenon of sudden personality change in the grown-up celestials only applies to a few of them. So far, only Loodvigg and Plixie had this happen. What about Hornacle? Will he follow this trend, or will it break with Attmoz or Furnoss?"
Only time will tell, so far.
