They the Wubbox : Rewritten

[Chapter 20]

Wubbox sat in his office quietly, resting his head down as Wublins babbled on. Then the door opened, and he heard footsteps, but he didn't raise his head for a moment.

"Dad!" He heard Rooloo speak, which made him quickly sit up straight as if he wasn't just nearly napping.

"Y-Yes?" He replied.

"I got him." Rooloo opened the door, revealing Thwok's angry scowl to him. His hair still flung to its side, and his eyes more dark with makeup.

"Yeah, and you got a special delivery." Thwok muttered, walking in hang him a letter.

"Where did you get this?"

"Dunno, some monster shrouded in darkness where i couldn't see his face, but he did have glowing green eyes and a yellow hand."

"Ok, but don't talk to any random monsters in darkness, ok?"

"Just for sayin, now i'm gonna." Thwok smirked devilishly.

Wubbox sighed, looking down and opening the letter. Upon reading the letter, he felt somewhat confused. It had spelling mistakes, it did not say who it was addressed to, it did not say who it was from except "anon," and it said he should bring two or three others with him.

The meeting would occur in two days, which seemed odd to not be delivered sooner, but maybe Thwok was their only recent contact to get to him, so it was delayed.

Well, now he had to pick a few to come with him. But who would? All of his kids were awful or didn't have legs, and he couldn't bring any of them, as they would likely run off and get lost and eaten by critters.

He would have to find ones with the right qualities, and Thwok. Although he loathed bringing Thwok along, he had to find some way to either make it up to him, or make him see he faults.
"Alright, you can go for now, boys." Wubbox informed them.

They both left, and Wubbox started to think. He got out his notebook, and started to write candidates for who to bring. The only qualities they need was legs, or if they didn't they were easy to carry, they were responsible, and they were not really big. That already knocked a few off the chart.

"Alright everyone, sorry for the short notice, but i have and announcement!" Wubbox called out to them. Everyone slowly moved their way over to the portal where Wubbox was, and waited for him to continue.

"I received a letter not long ago, and it's for a meeting of nearly every monster on faerie island. Unfortunatly, i cannot bring everyone with me, so i chose only three to be able to come with me. The only qualities needed were to be responsible, and not to big."
The crowed chattered in anticipation.

"I chose to bring Whajje, Bona, and Thwok with me."
The group cheered for the three that were going as they walked up to the portal, but Thwok seemed severely disinterested, likely preferring to be alone and listen to Nine Inch Nails and My Chemical Romance instead.
"You say "not to big" then you choose Bona, whos the biggest out of all of us!" Blipsqueak spoke out.

"Yes, i know i said that, but be quiet."

Once everyone said goodby, Wubbox spoke one final time. "And everyone, since Rooloo has a phone, you should stick by him for any updates i may have for you all."
With that, they walked through the portal, and they were now able to be home alone with all the time to do fun things. Who knows what might happen.
