Wubbox sat at his desk with Shrimp–or rare Astropod–and he was showing Shrimp some of his original concepts for the wublins that were made years ago. Shrimp seemed to be in awe, wondering how Wubbox even started the idea of Wublins. It was fascinating!
While he was in the middle of explaining his thought process with Whajje's concept, he was interrupted by the buzzing of his phone.Looking over, it was a call from Humbug. That's strange. They hadn't called, or even spoke in years. What could be happening that was so important, he had to call him out of the blue–for the first time in years?
"One moment." Wubbox turned to tell Shrimp, giving it a little pat on the head before standing up, taking his phone, and leaning up against the nearby wall. He pressed the green answer button, then placed it on his head.
"Hello, Wubbox speaking." He spoke."S-Sorry if we haven't talked in a while! Haha! So, I-I need you to listen to me right now.." Humbug paused for a moment, seemingly nervous by the sound of his wings buzzing, sounds of his claws against the phone, and his quick breathing. "They're blaming me for horrible things. Like...setting islands on fire, kidnapping the Bone epic wubbox, giving island information to bad people, and-and so much more, i don't even know... But you have to believe me, I wasn't the one to do this! Now I know why you're confused about why I'm calling you and not anyone else, but maybe you could do some extra research or something? C-Cause i know you're smart, you talked to Bone before, and you used to live on plant island, which is the first island that was set ablaze! R-Remember-"
"Humbug, time's up." A further away, and barely audible voice called through the end of the phone, which seemed to make Humbug more nervous.
"I-I have to go! Remember the nickname "fire bug!" Just look into it!" The phone line quickly went dead, leaving Wubbox confused.
It didn't make sense. He had heard about the forest fires, but it didn't make sense on why he was blamed. He turned his phone back off, then placed it back on the table before walking off to get his laptop.
"Who was there?" Shrimp asked in his high-pitched tone."Just an old friend. I'll have to do something else, but we can still chat." Wubbox replied, taking his laptop from the counter on the other side of the room, then coming over to sit back down in his chair.
"...You were talking about Whajje?" Shrimp asked again, turning its head to the side to open their five eyes up to him, his antlers buzzing with electricity to make his artificial voice.
"Oh, yes. For Whajje, I wanted something that sang with a high tone. It has feathers on its back that look like crystals, like Syncopite, who's from May, which was the time when he was born. At first, I wanted him to have light blue fur with big eyes, and pale skin. But as you see him now, he clearly was different." Wubbox explained as he typed on his laptop's keys.
"So... do all wublins take inspiration from the Celestials?" Shrimp asked.
"Mostly, yeah. But some of their personalities are similar to others I know. Like Poewk is similar to Ice personality wise, but not as dramatic. And Brump is like water, being calm and rational. But with Whajje specifically, his crystal feathers are like Syncopite, but he also has Attmozs look of long fur, and–unintentionally–Vhamp's big pupils and poor eyesight."
"If he has bad eyesight, why does he not fall over a lot?"
"His version is blurry and he's somewhat colorblind, not that he can't see anything. And I think he just got used to where some things are located, and he can walk around just fine. Now, Brump and Shelly are completely blind because they have no eyes. Dermit has Akinetopsia, which means he can only see things sitting still, so if you run around him, his brain is unable to render movement, unless it's slowly moving. And Screemu has Tritanomaly, meaning they struggle to tell the difference between blue and green and between yellow and red."
"Do I have eye problems?"
Wubbox paused to think for a moment, looking over to it for a second. "If you're talking about having more than or less than two eyes, no, and your eyes look fine, but you'll have to tell me about issues you have."
"Like... if I could only see things in black and white?"
"Yeah, something like that."
Shrimp paused for a moment, causing Wubbox to look over back at him with a suspicious glare. Wubbox wondered if he was being serious, but unsure as Shrimp refused to look at him again. He sighed, bringing his hand up to the pet Shrimp's shelled head gently.
"Is that true?" Wubbox asked, putting his hand back onto the table in front of him."...Kinda." Shimp replied quietly.
"Well, you're still young, so maybe it'll come to you eventually. If it doesn't by the time two years pass, then we can diagnose it as true. Alright?"
"Alright." Shrimp nodded back with a smile.
