"Wuubboooxx...You don't know how agonizing this is for meee!!" Wublin whined, laying back down on the counter as Wubbox sat in his chair with open boxes."Shut up, will you? It's like I'm taking care of a toddler all over again!"
"You hate me, don't you?"
"Yes, I king hate you. More than I hate my parents. How did I even end up with you in the first place?! I read that you can get rid of tuplas by just ignoring them, but it's clearly not king working!!"
"Ouch! P-Pweese don't me so huwtfwul.." Wublin teased him.
Wubbox decided to not feed into his anger. At least an attempt was made, as Wublin kept nagging him.
Wubbox had been with Wublin for as long as he could remember. It just sort of appeared one day, and he didn't question it, but he loved a new friend being with him. When he was alone or bored, they'd either talk or play outside. It was great, but now he grew into an awful, annoying, controlling and evil being. He hated it. He hated having to be treated like shit. He hated...himself?
Come to think of it, everything he's ever made had a bit of him inside, weather feelings, mentality, or just like him in general. Was this way for his mind to get back at him for being awful to everyone around him?
Maybe this was how badly he had actually treated his kids, downplaying their struggles for not being as bad as his, yelling at them, making them confined to one space, forcing them to listen even if they didn't want to.
"Wubbox~" Wublin had gotten to his side, laying his head on his as he grinned wickedly at him.
Wubbox did not react, using his simple box cutter to take the tape off the box, then taking the contents out of the box and placing them where they needed to be. He hadn't actually unpacked his place until now.
"Wubbox~" Wublin placed a hand onto Wubbox's shoulder, giving him a gentle nudge.
Wubbox continued to ignore him.
"Wubbox." Wublin now started to get a bit annoyed, his voice a bit more stern as he took another step to him.Wubbox took the box cutter, effortlessly sliding it over the tape and opening the box, then pushing the slider back down into its holder as he put it down on the counter.
"WUBBOX!!" Wublin then shouted, spinning him and his chair around to face him as he growled. "What's your problem?! Why are you ignoring me?!"
"I'm trying to get shit done! I hate having to deal with you, and it's constant agony!"
Wublin didn't think as his anger intensified, then suddenly threw Wubbox down with a crash against the cabinet nearby. "Agony..such a hurtful word." He grumbled out, his lights glowing as he fizzled with anger.
Wubbox held his head as it rang with pain. He brought his hand down to see if he was bleeding, but also confirming his suspicions, blood started to make a red streak along his vision. He must have been cut deep. Maybe by a cabinet hinge? He looked up at Wublin, who had a shocked and stunned look on his face. Even without eyelids, he could easily tell how he felt inside. Wubbox placed his hand beside himself, and stood up with the help of the counter.
"W-Wubbox i-i'm so sorry.." Wublin tried to apologize."Shut it." Wubbox said, clearly angry.
Wubbox meant to reach for a cabinet, but his coordination with one eye made it difficult, combined with dizziness and blurred vision, he found his hand upon the box cutter he had, then quickly spinned around to point it at Wublin, blade unsheathed and at the ready.
"I can't believe I've tolerated it this long! Y-You.. fucking asshole!!""You're overreacting, it's a small cut! You don't seriously think you can kill me with a little blade, do you?!"
Wubbox quickly and angrily swiped the blade at him, causing blood to draw from his cheek in a long, thin gash, similar to Water's scar from Mimic in the war.
"W-Wubbox it was a mistake, i didn't mean to hurt you!" Wublin now pleaded."S-Shut up!! You would have known better than this! Y-You're not a moron, i know you're not!" Wubbox started to feel tears begin to burn his eyes.
"W-Wubbox, w-we can start over! I-I can-"
"Start what over? The abuse? I'd rather die than give you any more chances!"
As Wubbox stepped forward, Wublin stepped back.
"You have one last chance to plead your innocence..""I... I'm just like you, Wub. We may be different, but we're just alike. Killing me would mean you've killed yourself. You'll be just as bad as your mother."
"Y-You can't torment me anymore, Concept." He snarled
Wubbox seemed scared as Wublin stepped forward at the word of his old name, but Wubbox then forced the box cutter into his chest, cracking his core as if it were glass. Wublin only had a moment to grin before falling to his knees. Unlike other wubbox, he instead disappeared from existence, leaving his core down on the floor, the crack now gone, and barely glowing a faded cyan-blue.
It was over, and though he felt relieved, he felt a part of him go numb. Not only was it his first and best friend, but he was the one who gave him ideas, encouraged him, and built him up to be who he was at heart. Now, it was just not the same without him. Just... Empty.
Now, he just had to think of what to do with the core. The rumbling of the island was loud and clear. The wublins knew what that meant. That rumbling and crashing ment they had to go back inside asap. Not because they were scared or about to get stricken by lightning, but because of their father.
He always had new ideas, and he couldn't just create lightning on his own to make the new wublins. So, whenever lightning would spark up–with or without rain–they would rush inside so they could let Wubbox do whatever he had to.
They all quickly made their way inside, and since it was pretty much night time, everyone decided to head to bed. Except Blipsqueak. They were curious to see how the process 'spark-of-life' worked.
They waited until every monster was in their room, then stayed by the door, creaking it open slightly, just enough to see two foreign statues ahead of them. They couldn't help but notice and wonder why one looked so similar to themselves. A rare, perhaps?
A flash of light blinked in the clouds, then quickly struck down on one of the statues, making a loud crack that split the air quickly. It struck one similar to Tympa, but it was blue, grey, and black with dark horns and deep blue hair.Though wubbox held his head with a bit of pain, he moved over to the small Tympa, and as soon as he scooped it up, another jolt of lightning strikes right next to him, causing him to stumble back, and the statue to spring to life in a bright yellow color.
They exchanged some inaudible words as it began to lightly rain, and they walked off, but just before the rare stepped inside behind Wubbox, it turned and looked over at them.Blipsqueak quickly ducked back and closed the door, turning back around to see Poewk.
"Bed." Poewk said blankly."I-I'm sorry. I was just curious."
"We all are, but it's best for him to do it alone. Now go to bed."
Blipsqueak nodded, and they both stepped into the bedroom to sleep.
Oddly, all he could think about was how that rare knew they were peeking through a tiny crack in the door. Did it have some sixth sense they didn't know about? Though they were supernatural monsters and a few of them had very useless special abilities, it just didn't make sense how it knew.
It just wasn't alright.——
