[Chapter 38]

Plant was pretty excited today. He met up with Shugabush and Oaktopus on his island, and they waited near the docks for their ship to arrive. Shugabush was going to visit his family again, and after so long, decided to bring Oaktopus, and Plant around one time.
They already took a ship, and were already able to see the large island in the distance. Plant was really excited to see a new island, but he had been specifically told to not wander off, and to stay by Shugabush. Plant didn't know why that was a rule, but he decided to listen, because he didn't want to be kicked off and not allowed to come back. He could meet new friends, then never see them again!
Once the ship boarded the dock, they got off and to the nearby fishing shed, which was also just used for storage, but the others on the island would stop by and fish once in a while. Deedge, Eompom, and Rompom were also at the dock as well, and began talking while they waited.
Plant looked around at the island, awed at the scenery around them. Not only was it less forestry and more fields with plants, the sky was fading into an orange as the sun grew closer to sleep. Plant's tail couldn't stay still, wondering everything they could do there, all the monsters they could meet, and everything else!!
"Plant, I'm gonna need you to not run off. I told ya' before, but please do not run off."

"I promise!"

"So, why are we waiting here?" Oaktopus asked, looking up to Shugabush.

Shugabush sighed. "I thought Shugajo would have been here already, but he must be behind. I told him to be here before us with his truck, but he isn't, so we'll have to wait."

"The car over there?" Plant asked, pointing to the furthest downfield he could see, where a red truck began to round the corner. Well, it looked more like red-orange, because the harsh sunlight warped the colors far away.
It slowly approached, then stopped nearby, Shugajo clearly in the front seat. Once they all got into the truck–Plant sitting in the bed of the truck–Shugabush looked over to Shugajo.
"Care to explain being late?"

"We had to get some last minute recordings in before Shugabass left, and it took a bit longer than I would have expected. Anyways, where were we going again?"

"Shugiutar's home."

"Oh yeah, I remember now."
Shugajo started up once more, and they began to drive down the road once more.
Plant sat out back, loving the cool feeling of the summer breeze on his antlers. He wondered if there was anyone else that would be around his age, if even a few years older, he wanted to see someone close to his age. He was the youngest in the group at fourteen. Eompom was 25, Rompom was 23, Deedge was 32, Shugabush 40, and Oaktopus 38.
Even if someone was seventeen, he would be able to talk to them, because they were somewhat close in age. He was only thinking about everyone there, and he must of thunk for so long, he didn't realize how close they were to Shugitar's house until they pulled into his rocky driveway.
Plant quickly sat up, and rolled off to the ground as they began to unload. Shugabass was already on the porch, reading some newspaper and smoking a cigar, as per usual. As the others walked in, Oaktopus did not, and instead decided to sit out and have a chat with Shugabass.
Inside, every other Shugabass member was there. Shugitar was on his couch chatting with Shugabuzz and Shugabeats. Shugavox was reading on the stairs, and Shugarock seemed to be passed out on the floor. But also, there seemed to be something like an orange Pompom in the kitchen cooking something.
Plant didn't know what to sit on, so he sat down by the stairs with Shugavox.
Shugabush walked around the corner, where his other five brothers were, and Shugajo immediately sat down on a nearby bar chair by the island in the kitchen.
"Shugabush, it's been too long!" Shugabuzz turned to grin up at him.
