Water laid on his back, the water caressing his large, blue form as if he were held by a mother. His fins gently swayed along with the water, and his tail laid underneath him. On his stomach as he slept, Blabbit and a Toe Jammer were curled up, also asleep under the warm ocean's sun. They all had spent all night and dawn looking for the lost island, but that long time had tuckered them out, so they began to float aimlessly in the water while they slept.
Perhaps that action had led them in the right direction, as after a long while, Water stirred as he felt some stiff mass under his head slowly got larger until his body stopped moving. He opened his eyes, blinking as he felt the harsh sun attack his eyes with its rays. He brought one hand up to his face to shield himself from the light, but slowly he began to adjust again to it.
Once he was able to look around more clearly, he saw himself surrounded by sand. That sand then began to lead into deep blue grass, and tall, viney and thick trees.
Water gently brought up his hand, using one of his big claws to gently nudge Blabbit's body. Blabbit slowly woke up as well, his long, floppy ears bouncing and he moved. Blabbit looked around once his eyes adjusted, then too looked shocked at the place around them.
"W-Where are we? Is this the Island?" Blabbit asked, looking around as the Toe Jammer woke up.

"Well, Bowhead did say the island was overgrown with plants on the outside, along with sand, so I think we did make it."

Blabbit stood up on Water's metallic body, stretching his jaws wide to yawn off the tiredness that lingered within him. He then walked as close to the shore as possible, and jumped off Water so he could sit up as well. Water grasped the Toe Jammer with his metallic claws, and placed it over next to Blabbit as it looked around in awe.
Water got back to his feet, shaking his tail and fins from the sea, and stood up straight.
"Why did Bowhead send us on this mission anyways?" Water asked, turning to Blabbit with slight annoyance.

"Well, this place does have historical significance! It was the main island of the continent, but it was abandoned after many years, and new islands were found. Who knows, maybe a colony of monsters is left here!"

"I doubt it." Water shrugged. "Let's just go in and see if there is anything left to salvage."

The three then began to make their way into the heavily wooded and grassed forest, having to step over and through large bushes, trees, branches, and many other plant life around them.
There were not many monster sounds, but there were buzzing of miniature insects, some would hop or fly around whenever they got close. The sound of waves crashing, bugs chirping, leaves rustling, and leaves crunching made a perfect, chaotic harmony of sounds that seemed soothing, but unpredictable.
They traveled around many places, making notes of certain marks in case they needed to find their way back to the ocean. What if that ocean side was the only one, and he rest of the island was surrounded by high-up land that would take forever to get back to the opening,
The further they went in, the more they became weary and nervous, afraid of finding some huge, horrible creature that managed to survive, and would be able to kill them–or at least injure them badly.
However, a sudden slam of what sounded like a wooden door in the distance caught their attention, putting them all to a halt. There was silence for just a moment, then the sounds of steps slowly approaching. Water shot Blabbit a quick glance, who looked back at him with just as much horror and terror.
Water then took a deep breath, starting to take a few steps towards the sound.
"Zizzou, what the hell are you doing!" Blabbit quietly shouted at him.

"I'm going to see who it is!" He turned back to him, trying to be quiet as well. "If anything, I'd be able to survive it if it attacked me! Just follow behind loosely, and be ready to run back if it's dangerous." Water then turned back, his long, finned tail lashing behind him.
The steps got closer, and Water stepped slowly, watching his steps to try and be quiet, but going quickly. In his mind he kept wondering what creature was ahead of him, but as the thing approached, he could hear a gentle hum or singing, but slightly muffled by something as it spoke. But, he could tell by how the monster walked, it had three legs, and how it hummed, it had a beak.
Blabbit and Toe Jammer were following behind by a few feet, waiting in case they had to run. They were on edge about what creature was approaching them, feeling their fear pool in their stomach, threatening to burst with adrenaline.
With one final step, through the bushes ahead of him, Water finally laid his eyes on the creature, shocked at what he saw. The monster was half of Water's size, their main feathers being green, but the ones on its head, arms, and tail turned into blue. His two front hands were green as well, but feathers began to stretch out and turn blue. The whites of its eyes are bright green, the pupil was green, and the eyelids were purple. Its beak was nearly the same color as the dark feathers on its chest, which led to its underbelly turning into yellow. Some bandages were around different parts of its body, mostly its legs, but one around its neck as well.
The bird's eyes widened, its pupils growing, and feathers ruffled, and a sudden chirp left its body. Was this...Mimic?! He was alive?!
"Hey!" Water yelled, his cautious expression turning into pure fury.
The bird was startled, dropping the basket from its beak, and rushing back, running surprisingly fast for a three legged monster. Water chased after, just a few feet away from the bird at most. Blabbit and Toe Jammer were shocked at the sudden turn of events, but tried their best to follow after him.
The bird ran into the deeper parts of the rainforest, purposefully taking sharp turns and climbing up to try and lose the wubbox running after him, but failing as the creature continued to chase after with alarming speed. The bird then sighed, holding his breath as he approached the cave ahead of him, abandoned and overrun with plants and dead remains of very old monsters. He quickly rushed in, knowing the monster could no longer follow because of its huge size.
"Get back here!!" Water yelled, crouching down to try and get to it, but the monster quickly raced into the darkness, to the unknown other side deep within.
