CHAPTER 40

LEXI POV

"Miss. Carter your people are here to see you. But-" I sighed loudly. "-Just let them in Cody." I said cutting off my assistant. "Well before I do you might wanna know who i-" "-CODY! I said let them in!" He nodded and scurried off. Really I was more stressed than you can ever imagine. It was a huge nightmare full of people with good and bad voices and paperwork that I could never keep up with. It was hard.

I heard a knock on my door. "COME IN!" I yelled as I flipped through more paperwork. I looked up to see Louis?

"Oh god Louis I missed you so much what are you doing here babe?!" I asked running up and hugging him. He seemed distant. I looked up at him slightly confused. "I havent seen you in three weeks and I dont even get a kis-" I stopped in mid sentence as Louis shook his head vigoriously as he whispered. "Stop." I gave him a confused look...

Thats until I turned around.

"Oh look its One Direction!" I said pretending to be happy. But inside I was freaking out... There was no Niall in sight which made me feel slightly more comfortable.

"And why are you guys here?" I asked. "Because we came to record..." I could've almost fainted right there. "And we are writing with you." Zayn added. Fuck. 

"Lexi oh god I missed you so much! How are you? Hows the baby? You didn't have to leave-" Niall asked running into my office. "-Niall this is only proffesional. You're here for no more than buisness." I said truthfully. But god did I miss those eyes...those lips...those-

"It cant be that professional." Liam said looking over at Louis. "What am I missing?" Niall questioned all eyes were now on me.

"Nothing. Now lets get down to work! Whats the song you are rec-" "-No whats going on here?" Niall asked as anger started to fill in his words. "Nothing everything is fine and-" "-Sorry to disturb you Miss.Carter but Ms.Tomlinson is on the phone. She told me Rayne wanted to-" "-CODY!" I yelled as loud as I could trying to cut him off. I shook my head vigoriously. He looked to see Niall was now in the room. "Tell them I'll call in 10." He nodded and ran off doown the hall.

"Someone needs to explain something now. Ms. Fucking Tomlinson? What is going on!?" Harry asked throwing his hands up in the air more confused than a bat in daylight.

"Uh well uh-" "-LEXI I BROUGHT YOU FOOD AN-" I looked at the doorway to see Luke (brooks) standing there. (A/N Remember Lexi also went to LA to see some friends...) "Fuck this is just getting better and better!" I said collapsing into the leather chair. "W-What d-did I say?" Luke questioned as he walked further into the room. "Nothing." I groaned taking a sip of the strawberry milkshake he handed me.

"Im just uh slightly confused right now." Liam said quietly as he collapsed onto the white leather sofa. "Why did you leave Alexis? There was no reason to leave. Do you know what you put us through?" I sighed loudly. "And your hair is blonde again...?" Harry said picking up a strand. I pushed his arm away. "Look this is BUSINESS  I have no time for anything else." I said rudely taking out 6 chicken nuggets in which Luke got me. "Hey uh Lex I'll be at the hotel...I'll call you later?" Luke spoke as he backed off out of the room. "This may be business but we have questions which you should answer." Liam spoke. i couldnt help but notice Nialls sad yet confused yet angered face. He was just silent and observing.

"Fine." I groaned. "Ask me three questions and I'll answer truthfully." I said sitting back and taking a bite of my chicken nuggets. "1.) Is the baby mine?" Niall spoke up first.

My palms started to become slightly sweaty. My heart started to beat faster. "No." I whispered. "Then whos is it?" Nialls voice became  louder. I looked down at the floor. Stuck for answers. I didnt know what to say. "You cant ask two questions. Next person!" I said quickly covering. "Is Ms.Tomlinson, Louis mum and whos Rayne?" "-You cant put two questions in one!" I spat quickly. "You never said that I couldnt so answer the damn question." Liam said getting fustrated. "Fine. Its Louis mum and Rayne is MY child." I spat. All heads turned towards Louis. "Is the baby Louis' " Niall said barely a whisper.

What was I supposed to say now?

"Yes the baby is mine." Louis quickly said jumping in. "HOW THE FUCK COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME!?" Niall quickly lashed out. My heart started beating faster. 

Why did Louis do this?

"NIALL STOP!" Liam yelled trying to pull him back in a panic. "Let me at him Liam!" Niall yelled trying to losen the grip. "NO CALM DOWN!" Harry yelled at Niall as he started pushing Louis back trying to get Niall as far away from him as possible.

"NIALL CALM DOWN!" I screamed.

"So all this time when Ive been crying about how much I missed her...You were secretly seeing her?" Niall whispered tears in his eyes. I blinked and pinched my arm hoping this was all a dream...

But it wasnt...

"Niall. Stop please." He immediatly stopped and turned to look at me. Venom in his eyes.

"Niall we had a good relationship right?" He nodded as tears spilled down his face. "But was it really the romantic type or the friendship type? Were you just crying because you lost a friend." I asked. 

"Im going back to the hotel." He whispered and walked out and following behind was Liam, Harry and Zayn.

"Fuck Louis im so sorry." I whispered into his chest.
