Aubrey a few days later
I woke up before Jas. We were still enjoying our honeymoon but today was our last day. I started to get up to order us some breakfast and heard her whimper.
"You okay baby?"I whispered, rubbing her cheek
When I got up from the bed I saw the sheets on her side stained red.
"Fuck!"
"Jas baby?!"I gently shook her
I watched her face continue to twist in pain.
"Wake up baby,"I said, shaking her again
I grabbed my phone and started to call an ambulance.
"What?"She huffed, opening her eyes
"You're bleeding. We're going to the hospital."I tried to say calmly
"Wha- oh my God!"She looked down
I watched her start to hyperventilate as I tried to talk to the emergency dispatch.
"Shh baby. It's okay...Yes, she- it's a lot of blood."I said shakily
I hung up the phone and tried to calm her down.
"I'm s-sorry."She cried holding onto me
"It's okay baby. They might be okay."I comforted her
She shook her head."No...Dr.Clay said this would happen."
I helped her change into clean clothes before the ambulance got here. They came up to our room with a stretcher and put her onto it.
She reached her hand out for mine and I grabbed it and kissed it.
"I'm right here baby,"I assured her.
I got into the back of the ambulance with her and rode silently to the hospital. Jas silently stared at the ceiling the entire time. I knew she was blaming herself.
When we reached the hospital, the doctors took her away.
"Wait- I need to stay with her! I'm her husband."I followed
"Sir- we need to evaluate her. What you can do is contact her OB."A nurse told me
I nodded and stood there calling Dr.Clayton. All I could think about was Jas and how she was doing back there.
Jasmine
I kept falling in and out of consciousness. All I could do was whine and cry as the doctors poked and prodded at me.
"Okay. Jasmine, can you hear me?"I heard
I nodded."Y-Yes"
"I'm Doctor Wells. We're running some tests to check on your babies. How far along are you?" He asked
