Two weeks later
"So, I am going to clear you for sexual intercourse but be careful and if anything feels painful, come back and see me." Dr. Clayton instructed Jasmine
Aubrey sat to the side, holding Aaliyah with the widest grin on his face.
"And exercise?" Jas questioned
"I will clear you for light exercise. Jogging, yoga, and things like pilates. No lifting and no running." She explained
"Okay." Jasmine nodded, deep in thought about her fitness plan
"Any questions for me?" Dr. Clayton asked
"Baby?" Aubrey looked to his wife
"Uh no, I'm good." Jas was pulled from her thoughts
The family of three left the doctor's office in a silence. After getting into the car, Aubrey checked on his wife.
"You okay?" He questioned, squeezing her thigh
"Yeah I'm fine baby. Just thinking. I need a trainer. Gia knows someone that helps women postpartum." She explained
He nodded. "We can look into it. Whatever you want."
"I know." She smirked at his generosity
He kissed her head."Dinner tonight?"
"I don't know. Liyah missed her nap. She's gonna be fussy." She said looking to the baby
"Why don't we ask your parents to watch her? Your mom's been begging." Aubrey asked
Jasmine cringed at the thought of leaving Aaliyah behind. She knew she'd be safe with her parents but, she'd never been away from her baby.
"Uh. I don't know. Why don't we order in?" She questioned
"Why can't I spend some one on one time with my wife?" He cupped her chin
She peered up at his persuasive eyes.
"I'll handle everything and talk to mama Michelle. You go home and pick out an outfit." He asserted
Jasmine chuckled. "Mama Michelle?"
"She calls me every week to check up on you. We're good." He revealed
"My mother calls you to check on me? Why doesn't she just call me herself?" She asked
"You don't answer the phone half the time." He pointed out
