Almost a week later
I held my breath as Aubrey stuck the small needle in my arm.
"Mm."I whimpered
"Im sorry."He kissed my head
He finished up and threw the needle in the trash.I had been avoiding him all week but a couple days ago, I got my needles and I needed his help.
I huffed and Aubrey came back to place a bandaid on my arm.
"You okay?"He asked
"Yeah.Thank you."I nodded
"Don't thank me."He pecked my lips
"I um- I have to go."I said lowly
He nodded.Today I was meeting Ashley, Travis's new girlfriend.Couldn't say I was super excited especially since Aub and I are having..problems but I wanted to show up for my friend.
He nodded."Have fun..I'll probably be at the studio when you get back."
"What time are you coming home?Late?"I asked
"I don't know..I'll try to be in before midnight."He told me
I nodded."Okay."
"Hey come here."He pulled me close
"I love you baby.So much."He told me
"I know.I love you too."I said
I looked away from his eyes.
"I know I piss you off a lot.I do a lot of dumb shit but I would do anything to see you happy.And I know Im not making you happy right now..but I promise I'll fix it."He told me
I brought my eyes back to his.
I felt my eyes water.
"No don't cry.Please don't cry.Im sorry."He pulled me into his chest
"I just feel so empty...when Adonis isn't here and you aren't here..I don't have anything.I- I don't know what to do with myself."I sniffled
"I know."He murmured and rubbed my back
"But listen, you're going to see your bestfriend.Right?That's good.I promise tomorrow, we're gonna find you a hobby and some friends and we're gonna keep working on our baby.It'll all be okay baby."He told me
I nodded.
He wiped my tears carefully.
"Thank you for telling me how you feel."He said
"Thank you for listening."I said in a hushed tone
"Of course.Let me drive you?"He asked
"No it's okay Im fine."I declined
"Im going to drive you.I'll pick you up too."He said
"But you said you were going to the studio."I said
"I'll cancel."He said
"Aubrey."I shook my head
He ignored me and put on some sneakers before grabbing my hand and helping me down the stairs.
"Do you like those?The red bottoms?"He asked
"Yeah..they're my favorite."I said
He nodded.
"Don't buy me any shoes."I told him
"Don't tell me what to do."He poked my side
I giggled.
